Hard to believe it's been 14 years today since George passed away! 41 years ago yesterday, at age 19, I saw him at The Omni in Atlanta. I went with my boyfriend (Paul!) and the tickets were only $8.50!

Hi Nancy!!! Thats a great picture of the ticket. It took place around the same time that George passed away years later in 2001! Natalie Wood passed away around the same time in 1981. I know because I met Natalie in Marina Del Rey courtesy of Denny in 1981! Thats a long story in itself, maybe I'll tell it sometime in the near future.

I was just looking through my boxes of papers and stuff for something last night and ran across a lot of old sentimental stuff. One thing was a 15 year old pictured business card of my daughter's when she was starting out working for a company. I took a picture of it and sent it to her. She texted me back and said, "Too funny" I also ran across a letter from my youngest daughter when she was just out of college and looking for work, financially strapped and hoping that her dad could help her out. Luckily, I was just changing from a job of 7 years and was cashing out my 401k. I sent her 1/3rd of it. She got a job teaching shortly after that and has been there for 12 years now. My oldest now has her own business and 4 associate employees. Which brings me to George. I opened up my briefcase and right on top of the pile of papers and stuff was a TV guide with George on the cover from when he passed away, that I had forgotten that I had. Both of my daughters and all of my grandkids are George and Beatle fans. We all LOVE and miss him very much! .........GIVE US LOVE...GIVE US PEACE ON EARTH

I need to search for my 1976 Paul concert ticket, but I think it was about $10-12!

I went back to my old Pizza Parlour and they had an old menu where a large Cheese pie was $2.00! Wasn't Woodstock tickets around $20.00?

Nancy, was the concert as bad as some made it out to be? Was there booing during the set especially Ravi'set? was George's voice unlistenable? Was George overly preachy? We're people upset that George changed the lyrics to John''s classic? Did George mock Paul during Maya Love? Thanks.

Excellent photo, Nancy! Ticket looks in good touch considering it's all those years ago. Correct me if I am wrong, but indicates a 10.30 start?... that's late....in my day, when there were actually a plethora of artists I wanted to see live, concert tickets indicated an earlier start before a much later start.... (Gunners' probably advertised their tickets as an 8.30 start before an eventual midnight start once Axl had finished watching his favorite TV show) As for Natalie Wood, she might be before my time..... as in I was still pretty young when she died....but she is one of the most beautiful women that ever graced this planet.... A brilliant representation of the female form. Or any form, for that matter. Feel free to tell that story JL!

Hi toris! How are you? I will have to tell the story of the night I met Natalie Wood, the late great Dennis Wilson, drummer of The Beach Boys as well as my friend, was the man responsible for setting the meeting up. That meeting was a late Birthday present from Denny to me. Natalie Wood was my Mother's most favorite actress as well as mine, that is a memory I will always cherish!

George was not hoarse in Atlanta--he sounded great! No booing that I remember, but I went to the bathroom during Ravi's set! I was a bit upset when George changed the lyric from "I've loved you more" to "I've loved God more" but nobody booed or anything. Mock Paul? What do you mean?
