This long awaited movie "Let It Be" is the only Beatle movie to commercially still ever be released. Back in the day of videos it was The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but you can easily pick that up, even it's anniversary edition, and so all I am saying is release "Let It Be" finally for D.V.D.

You'd think it could be redone all round. I understand that Ringo and Macca nixed it as they didn't like the idea of a discordant image of the band going out, it was bad blood or spilt milk or something. But one guy at the sessions at the time later said he disliked it because it showed a sour vision of the Beatles at odds with the reality, and that often they were still having a laugh and mucking in, joking with the studio operatives and all that. That got cut to focus on the band itself, and also the acrimony that was seeping out at the time. They could redo the film with the old left out footage and it might be a lot more enjoyable.

Yes, it is a shame they did not put some of that footage in the film. Most of "Let It Be" is depressing with the exception of the rooftop concert.

              Maybe I'm amazed !!

An entirely new 16mm edit of the film please. Much more Apple footage where they're actually smiling and enjoying being together with Billy. Less Twickenham, where they're all tired, bickering, rambling, greasy and in need of a good scrub... ...and cut out anything with George and that painful bloody wah wah pedal!

Shame on Apple for not releasing the good stuff on video. Fans would love to watch George playing Isnt it a Pity, All things must pass to John & Paul. Macca demoing Another Day, Every Night & Back Seat of My Car, and John demoing Jealous Guy. In addition, the Beatles rehearsed with Billy by playing classic White Album songs. LIM/Get Back was an incredible session, but the suits on Apple only released the boring stuff while so much is locked away in the vaults.
