For all non usa (like myself) people: Just be ready to have a US address at hand to complete your ticket order this sunday. A couple of years ago I had the opporunity to buy a Rolling Stones ticket for the Beacon Theatre (NYC), but was unable to complete the TM transaction in 3 minutes because I didn't have a US address at hand! Also create a TM account before!
Thanks for that heads up.I would have freaked if that had of happened to me...although I am hoping they have pick up tickets or something.Hmm I need to find out about this

For drumdaddy, There is a Train to the Plane that goes from Kennedy to the Long Island RailRoad. Transfer at Jamaica if necessary for a train to Penn Station which is a cab ride or a 20 minute walk to Radio City.

I saw Ringo and Paul many years back at the Hollywood Bowl, and it was nice, but I wouldn't pay over $1000 to see an abbreviated set list, and Ringo singing along on Hey Jude. I need to think about this one. maybe the Hard Rock is a better deal - even at stubhub prices, at least it will be a full show.

$79.50. That`s a bargain these days.

I was picturing Paul doing Sgt Peppers leading right into With a little help from my friends! I can see it now: Paul singing: BILL-LY SHEARS! Enter Ringo: What would think if I sang out of tune............ That would be priceless!!!!!!!!!!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7924392.stm Beatles stars to play charity gig By Ian Youngs Music reporter, BBC News Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are to appear at a charity concert in New York next month. Sir Paul will headline the concert at the Radio City Music Hall on 4 April, while Starr has been named among a string of special guests. The David Lynch Foundation initially said the pair would perform together. But a spokesman for Sir Paul said a collaboration had not been confirmed and a spokeswoman for Starr said he would perform "a few songs on his own". The David Lynch Foundation, set up by the film director, promotes transcendental meditation in schools. The organisation's UK arm initially said Sir Paul and Starr would "definitely" perform together. But a spokesman later said their reunion had not been finalised. In a statement about the show, Sir Paul said he had practiced transcendental meditation for 40 years. "In moments of madness, it has helped me find moments of serenity," he said. The show will aim to raise enough money to teach one million at risk children to meditate. "I would like to think that it would help provide them a quiet haven in a not-so-quiet world," Sir Paul said. Starr added: "It gives me great pleasure to be part of this evening. I feel the aims of this charity are wonderful." The two Beatles legends last performed together at a tribute concert for George Harrison in 2002. They were joined by Eric Clapton to perform While My Guitar Gently Weeps at the show at the Royal Albert Hall. Sir Paul and Starr, along with Harrison, also played in private in 1994 to record material for their Anthology series. Sheryl Crow, Donovan, Eddie Vedder, Ben Harper and Moby will be among the other musicians taking part in the New York show. Tickets go on sale on Monday. Where is the place specifically on the David Lynch Foundation website where you sign up for the concert info/password? I signed up for general info about the Foundation but never saw anything about requesting specifics for the concert.

It would appear the moment to register for advance information has passed. This was the link that led to the place to sign up: http://www.davidlynchfoundation.org/concert.html That now leads to the entry point to buy the general release tickets. Presumeably now that an e-mail has gone out confirming that a pre-sale opportunity will be provided via a password the subscription for the pre-sale has closed. The link and discussion on the process was featured heavily in this thread at the time it was announced. Martin

I just received an email from the foundation saying that notiices were sent yesterday to those who had signed up...I signed up back in January, but it looks like I'm out of luck for the presale.

I didn't get any email saying or giving me any password. Hope someone post just incase we all don't get ours. I did get the email 7 hrs ago. Just read it. But I'll be sure to have my finger ready Monday or sunday
Glad you've got your e-mail and you are sure you're in the loop with this sale. I'd advise that nobody shares any passwords when you receive them - all the members here have been following this long enough to have registered in time to get this e-mail set up arranged. Whether the password is common to all or unique to just one person posting it here will wipe out any advantage that may come from this. Indeed, if unique, sharing it ahead of ticket sales might destroy your own personal opportunity if tickets are bought using the code ahead of you when released. Whenever we get a pre-sale we get first time posters arriving here asking for them, whilst they may be unfortunate genuine fans that have left it too late to sign up, the possibility that they are opportunists fishing to profit from a re-sale opportunity cannot be ruled out. Best wishes to one and all. Martin
Excellent point Martin,`remember what happened years ago? : people were pm'ing frantically for the secret codes.... : funny-but not you know what I'm talkin about

I think all the Sunday tickets general seating from what the Lynch email said. I assume the general seating is general within the section you get a ticket for how else could they do it. There are so many price ranges.I wonder if the cheaper tickets are for standing outside with a dixie cup to your ear. I`m also wondering how many of you are planning to go.And how many got THE email like I did. By the way I agree about the sharing because if you cared enough you would have signed up in advance.Besides I know scalpers haunt fan sites like this one looking for pr esale codes.I plan to man the computer all day Sunday. My trigger finger keeps waiting to get that 1,250 ticket which I assume that it is reserved. You have to fax that in with you cc number or snail mail with a check (for those who don`t know )and If they are sold out and you don`t hear from them until after Sunday well your out of luck on that one. If I only knew for sure the dancing midget from Twin Peaks was there I would have sent my fax today

Drumdaddy, I may be wrong, but I think for the 1,250 ticket you clicked on the link and entered the number of tickets you want....to reserve them. Then you have to mail or fax in your credit card or check. I was thinking that with that being the lowest priced ticket of the special benefit and ticket packages, it will probably go quickly...right now they've updated it with limited availability. I Fedexed mine in today...so I wouldn't wait if you truly want it. I just hope that they let us know we got it before the other tickets go on sale. This is a great line up...especially with Paul & Ringo. I wonder if they will play together or seperately? If they play together, I hope they play Beautiful Night.... Love it when they did that...I liked Ringo's voice...but I'm thinking they will probably play what they're thinking everyone will want, which of course would be Beatle songs. What ever....it will be great !!! I really like this cause too I wonder what what an excellent seat is..... I've got all fingers crossed that I find out ....

why do they do the general admission thing? i mean is this going to be one of those deals that you hafta line up early for decent seats in your 80,90 or 100 dollar sections? so when we call and select the price range sunday,it's line up time that saturday afternoon? sheesh...
-
Are we reading this right? Is the term "general" being applied to the sale to the "General Public" to differentiate from the pre-sale and premium package sales? In a theatre setting surely all seats sold will be by row and seat number? The term General Admission as used in stadia and venues like The Joint at Las Vegas where fans queue and scramble to stand close to the stage won't apply here? I don't have the time to research this further at the moment, perhaps someone else can scout round a bit. Martin

Radio City Music Hall has seats. I do not think they would take them out for a general admission run to your place kind of thing. The tickets being sold are on a price scale from $ 80 up. I think that indicates that you are paying for a seat. The more you pay the better your seat. The packages are already on sale. Those who already bought a package will have the tickets Fed Exed to them the week prior to the show. Sunday starts the presale (with a password) for the $80 - $500 seats. Monday is the general sale for what is left of those seats. It seems to be getting a lot of coverage now. Good luck if you are trying for tickets.
