That's the weekend of the Fest for Beatles Fans...guess I'll have to record it! Maybe they will show it at the Fest. It's being held in NYC again, for the 50th celebration (and 40th year of the Fest!) the same place it started (though the hotel has been done over and changed its name), and the days and dates are the same as the first visit: Friday, Feb. 7 - arrival, Sat. Feb. 8, Sun. the 9th - Ed Sullivan appearance! (Wow...I never thought I'd be talking in terms of 40 and 50 years!! Where does time go? Can't we slow it down somehow?)
-
I loved this one comment on Rolling Stone: "Oh great, "today's top artists" can't wait to see "today's top artists" ruin the greatest music ever performed." Well said!

http://ultimateclassicrock.com/beatles-grammy-tribute/ Apparently Paul, Ringo, Olivia, and Yoko will also be on hand for the tribute...wonder how one goes about sneaking into the event? Hypothetically speaking, of course.

I wish I could clone myself and also be at this event! Mark Hudson bailed out on the Cancun celebration to do the Fest. (He's a riot and we all love him--he's been on 2 of the Beatles cruises that I've been on)

It's really 50/50 that Paul and/or Ringo will show up to this. Ringo has said that he and Paul have discussed showing up for this, and perhaps performing. In sort of related news, they announced a few of the performers that will play on the special today: http://www.grammy.com/news/performers-announced-for-beatles-special, including a reunited Eurythmics for this performance!
