Interesting snippet in interview with James in Sunday Times

Couldn't have been in Germany since James remembers the Dakota. John and Paul didn't do press releases about all their meetings. Only reason we know about the SNL one is because John mentioned it in an interview years later. For all we know there are others of similar circumstances. I suspect Jan 1980 but legend has it Yoko said no. Fred Seaman (not the most reliable source) wrote alot about this period and while it's possible John met Paul on Fred's day off, I still think a meeting around that period would've come out...especially with hat happened later.
Actually James' memories of the Dakota were more likely from AFTER John was killed. It's been reported that Paul and Linda went to visit with Yoko after John's death and James' memories of the Dakota could be from that period when he was older and would be more likely to have such memories of the building. The moment where John held James could have been in New York, or it could have been any number of other locations around the world since both John and Paul were traveling all throughout the late 70's. Fred Seaman wasn't hired until 1979 so he might not have witnessed any such meeting, since James was born in 1977.
I get that, but James specifically mentions John holding him AT the Dakota.

That's not how I read his quote. He never says "I have memories of being held by John as a baby at the Dakota." He said he "knows" that John held him as a baby -- not that he remembers being held but that he knows it, no doubt because his parents told him that. And then he says he has memories of the Dakota. Those are 2 separate things he's talking about, in my view.

I suppose...just the way he connects the two implies he's talking about the same incident.

Yoko was at James's gig last night at the Borderline in London and was dancing away!

I remember my birth. I remember being a baby. I've described people who lived with us then in great detail to astound my family and prove my memories are correct. (We have no pictures of some of these people like the exchange students who stayed with us). I've met others who also can remember things about being a baby and yes, I was psychologically studied once about it in a University study.
Wow, that's incredible. Then let's forget my theory immediately

Hi Anita...yes. We're going to the opening night show in Amityville, Long Island. Really looking forward to it. Are you going to the show in Asbury Park?

Great news, Tom! Looking forward to reading about your experience! We will be seeing James in Philly. Should be a very nice evening - looking forward to it!

Well, he's not coming to anywhere I can go so I'll just live vicariously through those that go.

It is a shame that this quote has not been probed further.

Interestingly, sometime in 1980 John did an interview where he said he hadn't seen Paul in "two years". Biographers assume John misspoke. Hmmm

what quote? oh, I get it...the one about John being held as a baby. Yeah, everybody went bonkers over the quote about the Beatles boy babies band but ignored this one.

Yes I agree KO, this is far more interesting and a real story. The Beatles boy band is boring, this is historical.

Late answer, but I just heard about this Very interesting. It's hard to believe John could have been misremembering in the Playboy interview. He's very specific about it and clearly seems to regret that they haven't seen since. I don't think it's possible Paul would misremember something like this. Two possibilities imo: 1. John somehow met James without Paul being present, like, he dropped by and only Linda was there or something. 2. He for some reason lied in the Playboy interview (maybe Yoko was unaware of the more recent meeting?, not to bash Yoko, but can't think of another reason). If John said in another interview that he hadn't seen Paul in "two years" then that seems to confirm this. No one has any idea of where this interview was, or has a link?.
