I agree--there are some amazing Beatles covers from obscure/indy bands on youtube and iTunes. There's also the Minnesota Beatles Project on iTunes as well--2 albums. The cover albums of George, John, and Paul's solo work done by not-really-established bands are phenomenal. Oh and the Cheap Trick album is also on iTunes which is where I learned they'd done the concert to begin with--such a great show!

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Not a fan of Beatles covers a rule, but do like Paul Byrom's version of All My Loving
Also like Foo Fighters Band on the Run -
As far as I'm concerend, nobody does a guitar-solo on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" better than Prince.
-
My favourite Beatles cover The Lettermen - I'm Only Sleeping (1972)
-
Stevie Wonder doing his version of "We Can Work It Out" with McCartney's band. Paul and Barack are grooving to the beat in the audience.

Just heard a very odd version of your mother should know & the video lives up to it...

[Mods, please correct me if I'm wrong, and move or merge this thread, if there's a similar one somewhere Out There!] Cindy Lauper - "Strawberry Fields Forever"

Thanks Eric. Amazing guitar work. Tina Turner and a very early cover of "Come Together"
Tina Turner "Get Back" another one from Tina, "Help!" (surprisingly slow!) -

When WW2 came to an end in May 1945 it was a HAPPY time for Italy, France, the UK, the Benelux, Scandinavia, but not for Poland. Even though Poland was member of the Western Coalition against Nazi Germany we were sold by W. Churchill of the UK and F. D. Roosevelt of the USA to Uncle Joe (Joseph Stalin of the USSR) in exchange for the USSR's membership in the coalition against Nazi Germany. Poland only regained her independence as late as in 1989. But in the meanwhile we rrrrawked on!!!!.... Czesław Niemen (of Poland) and his 1964 rendition of The Hippy Hippy Shake
Czerwone Gitary (The Red Guitars) ca. 1966 "I'm Down" Maryla Rodowicz, 1971 "Let It Be" (Polish lyric) We never gave in!!!
