Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band 2014 US Tour
-
Ringo usually releases an album in the beginning of the year and then promotes it while announcing an All Starr tour at the same time; however the Grammy's and the CBS 50th anniversary special instantly got Ringo massive amounts of promotion.

Yup. Exactly what I said up above. Good for Ringo!!

Still hoping for a new album from him and hopefully based on this recent exposure it'll help his sales.

It's being reported that tickets to this year's All-Starr tour are selling out in a flash. Be prepared not to wait if you're planning to see him. This is the year of the Starr!
Just my own thought, but I suspect all the 50th Anniversary and Grammy stuff has created a lot of positive interest and vibe for Ringo, and he is smart to capitalize on it by announcing a summer USA tour in the middle of it all. I guess McCartney really doesn't need any of it, therefore no new tour dates announced.
I suspect you are correct about the Anniversary and Grammy hoopla spurring ticket sales. I will also guess Paul will wait until Ringo's tour is finished to bring his mojo back to the U.S. Europe this Spring or Summer, U.S. late Summer or Fall, maybe around the Second '64 U.S. Tour and Hollywood Bowl anniversaries.

Yeah, since it is looking like he will play South America in April, I agree, Paull will not tour when Ringo does. Which is pretty cool of him, though I suspect Ringo's tour could handle it. Ringo does not tend to play the same venues or markets. But I agree, late Summer, early Fall for US dates.

Paul and Ringo did actually tour the U.S. at the same time in 2010. (If I remember correctly, it was the only time).

I think that is correct, it was the only year that they overlapped. I remember Paul played in Kansas City on the same night in July that Ringo was performing in Indiana.

Will wait & see if Ringo adds on any more venues. One never knows.
