Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band 2014 US Tour
-
I'd love for Ringo to lay to rest 'Yellow Submarine' in play of 'Octopus' Garden' for once on an All-Starr tour. I know its one of Ringo's most well known songs but he did not write the song and he really came out of his song writing shell with 'Don't Pass Me By' and 'Octopus' Garden.'

It's nowhere near my favorite song, but I would be thoroughly disappointed (as would many, many others) if Ringo stopped playing "Yellow Submarine". I really don't think many people at his shows care or have much respect for Ringo's "writing shell"...

Even though I'm sick of the song (Yellow Sub) Ringo will never take it out, you know that! I'd love to hear Octopus's Garden. Last night here in Cancun, Band On The Run did It Don't Come Easy! They also did Whatever Gets You Through The Night and Cheer Down!!

I've seen a local tribute band called The Mahoney Brothers do "It Don't Come Easy"....only time I've seen one of those bands give a Ringo solo song any mention! All of them do "Imagine", I've seen some do "Live and Let Die" "Band on The Run" and even "Jet"....heard "What is Life" once too!

Does anyone have any advance info about when Ringo tickets go on sale or pre-sale for Humphrey's in San Diego? I have spoken to Ticketmaster and e-mailed the venue and haven't been able to get any on-sale date information. Thanks!!

Hi...on Ringo's web-site, they indicate "on sale soon"...but no specific sale dates yet. I would check ticketmaster every once in a while...good luck! http://ringostarr.com/index/home/

Ringo's website is a bit behind - Casino Rama tickets have been on sale for over a week but Ringo's site still says "On Sale Soon." I'd keep an eye on TM or Humphrey's sites if I was you.

Thanks for the advice!! I'll keeping watching for them--I'd sure like to get nice seats without using the secondary ticket outlets!! :

Tickets for Ringo's Albuquerque show go on sale March 28, if that is any indication.

Wow! Pretty far off....his show at Wolf Trap isn't even announced by the venue yet. They'll put their whole season out at once probably this month or next.

The concert is July 9, so that is a pretty fair amount of time to get a ticket! When Paul played New Mexico in 1993, I remember tickets being sold late February for the April show.

Got tickets today for July during the pre-sale. First time seeing Ringo! Last time he came around with the band even the nose bleed seats were super expensive, so I was glad to see much better pricing this time around.

Some shows go on sale on Feb. 22nd, including L.A. and Santa Barbara. I'd check again then.

Hoping he adds State Theatre in Easton, PA. It's a great venue & he's played it on all his other tours.

He seems to be mostly hitting markets that were missed in 2012.

AAACCCKKK Ringo's always played the State Theatre in Easton, It's a great venue - a little smaller than NYC's Beacon Theatre.

It's being reported that tickets to this year's All-Starr tour are selling out in a flash. Be prepared not to wait if you're planning to see him. This is the year of the Starr!

Just my own thought, but I suspect all the 50th Anniversary and Grammy stuff has created a lot of positive interest and vibe for Ringo, and he is smart to capitalize on it by announcing a summer USA tour in the middle of it all. I guess McCartney really doesn't need any of it, therefore no new tour dates announced.
-
Ringo seems to be enjoying himself. Good to see!
