Paul McCartney was depicted in a "Happy Days" spin off called "Joanie Loves Chachi" where a bass player identified as Marvin O. Pizika had the spitting image of Paul McCartney of The Beatles. 
Though Joanie and Chachi thought this was really Paul McCartney, he wasn't. ops: In the end, they all agreed he was Marvin O. Pizika. Later a friend of Marvin's stop by to pick up Marvin. He looked like ....I won't give it away. 
Mitch Weissman of the Original "BEATLEMANIA" Broadway musical of the 1970s played Marvin. -
Unfortunately, my location - at the other end of the world - would not allow me to view this. But it does sound fascinating..... And I do recall the episode you are referring to... I couldn't have told you if it was Happy Days (a good show before Richie left) or Joanie Loves Chachi (a terrible show on all fronts), but I do recall it... Of course Happy Days thrives in syndication, but the spin-off won't be gracing (or disgracing) our screens soon, so not sure when I will see that again... Oh well, I could try to You-Tube it, but then I will get side-tracked and won't leave my apartment for a month.
