I am very much looking forward to the CBS special airing tomorrow night honoring 50 years of Beatlemania. But of all the specials that have aired over the last 15 years or so, I must say my absolute favorite was one done by abc in 2000 called Beatles Revolution, hosted by - of all people: Meredith Viera! But it was very well done - great interviews by historians as well as some of music's biggest stars - from Garth Brooks to Mick Jagger. It came out right around the time of a great resurgence in Beatlemania at the turn of the century - thanks to the release of the Beatles One CD and the Anthology book, etc. This time period (2000-2001) I believe also helped reinsert Paul into the national (if not international) consciousness. Not that he ever truly went away, but he hadn't had a major world tour since 1990 and hadn't done a ton during the early-mid 90s. In my opinion, it's no coincidence, he went back on tour not even two years later and has done several more world tours since! And it's not a stretch to say he is more popular now than ever. In any case, if you haven't seen it, I have found the entire thing on Youtube, broken into different parts. Definitely worth watching: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL60F383A710EACFD4

I completely agree; I have seen that Beatle Special and it is very good. The montage at the beginning of all the clips and music is so good.

I agree, it was an excellent show. But Paul went back on tour because of 9/11.

Freedom, which was inspired by 9/11, was not the reason he went on tour. Or was it?

The Concert for New York City was put together by Paul after 9/11. The idea for a tour came from that.

I thought this was the best post Anthology documentary / special on the Beatles. I can't believe this aired just over 13 years ago. I remember it like yesterday; October 2000 on the heals of the Anthology Book release. I was a junior in High school and it was sort of a flash back (or full circle) to when I saw the Anthology just five short years before.

                Ringo:
