Oh, no...here we go again: plane is delayed! I know they've had some serious weather there the last couple of days, but I was wondering: why does Paul wait till the last minute to arrive where he's playing? Why not go the day before when possible?

Really. He should get there early ESP in this kind of weather. Any reports from soundcheckers?

Yeah, that boy makes me nervous sometimes! No, haven't heard anything yet; he IS on stage now.

I don't remember what time soundcheck started but it was probably 6 pm-ish--i know it ended at 7 pm and they started the preshow film promptly at 8 pm and Paul was on at 830, on time.

Another strong show. I think that review is very well written. She mentions the early vocal bobbles - but to me that isn't a huge deal. He is 72 yrs old and still interacting with his fans when he has every right to simply spend time with his wife, kids and grandkids. He puts on a heck of a show and doesn't phone things in. FWIW, he was photographed in NYC Wednesday morning with Nancy so it appears as I thought that he is likely staying in NYC and simply jetting in on most concert days to the show (exceptions being locations like Lubbock or Nashville where he had a show the previous night). This seems very fair as it gives him a home base and a little more comfort than staying at a hotel. My 11 yr old got to see him for the first (and probably last) time last night and had a great time. That was the whole reason I got tickets this time. RamblinRed

McCartney has always had a "home base" and flown in for most shows then flown out after the show. Even in 1976 on the Wings Over America tour he rented homes in LA, Dallas, and NYC and just flew in for a sound check, did the show, then flew out after the concert for most shows.

He kept his back to us for the very beginning of the soundcheck and didn't seem very "on" during it, but got better. Sang Junior's Farm, Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On, Ram On, Bluebird, San Francisco Bay Blues, Lady Madonna etc. I'll get the full list from a guy I stood next to who wrote them all down. Met up with FanOnThe Run (Rick G), Podge The Bear and Forget 64. The dinner (for me) was not as good as last year in Memphis where they had pasta dishes and a "make your own sundae" bar) The concert itself was great! I was 3rd row dead center! Will post pics when I have time. Have to get ready for work.

Fourth time I've seen him. His voice wasn't as strong as it usually is but I presumed the flight delay and rush to soundcheck probably contributed to this. Still, the old man's still got it. Great time. Played the usual set list that included both "Get Back" and "Hi Hi Hi".

He was having some vocal issues but nothing awful or that he didn't sing his way around. He was in a good mood, it was a lively crowd, regular setlist, nobody brought on stage. Not sure what happened with his arrival...I knew someone who was waiting for the limo, they walked away for a short time, and when they returned, everyone else who had been waiting there was gone. She assumed he had arrived. This was about 5 pm. We were not led into soundcheck until around 5:30 and still had to wait for him. Whole band arrived together. Soundcheck ended at 7 pm. Doors were supposed to open at 6:30. I figured the show would not start on time, but it did, as I posted earlier. I am guessing he did arrive in time and was in the venue but doing something before soundcheck. We didn't hear anything about a late plane but guess that is also possible. He called the audience "peachy" and said "y'all" which made the Atlanta crowd happy.
