Thanks hey_kittay I LOVE pansies... those aren't mine, but I'll post some pictures later in the garden thread... I really can't believe that they just came back to life like that in spite of the snow!!! They have doubled almost!!! There are so many different colors...pastels, violas, pinks, yellows, oranges, blues, burgandy, whites..... I love them like bearded irises... I don't have too many planted at my new house yet, I'll have to go back and divide some off from my old garden.....my daffodils are about to pop and I had someone plant alot of bulbs, so I'm really going to have some surprises this year Paulmusic... I wanted to comment on your poems!!! The first one reminds me of Japan so much... very sad but I really liked it alot and you really brought emotion to that one. Secondly, I LOVE Toy Story too!!! Buzz and Woody are my very favorites!!! and I love that you wrote a poem about it!!! Yay!!! Toy Story!!!

The Sound of Rain Across Watercolor Dreamscapes The sound of rain on the panes of glass The sound of your breath in and out As the dawn breaks, the fingers of sunlight Feel their ways around the shades, drawn so tight. The clock ticks out measured seconds The sound of the heat softly hissing Awaken from a dream, far away so it seemed I wanted to linger, in that world a bit longer The sound of the train in the distance A truck rattles by on the street Cocooned in my bed, with a song in my head It caresses me back into dreamland While fast asleep, with the world at my feet So far will I travel as the sights do unravel From Venice to Luxor in the blink of an eye It's like magic how I fly like a bird in the sky Every night as I slumber, in a world that's filled with wonder My dreams have no limits, my spirit flies free Every night a new surprise upon a magic carpet ride Through my imagination, a Lewis Carroll type creation

Happy Birthday Another year older, Another year wiser Another year closer And this coaster is picking up speed Oh damn, where are the brakes...I say Who can smell roses at this speed?

Beholding gold beholding an angel concrete things in an unsafe world to repair again awaiting anxiously dying daily spare me in my suffering things I made for myself will it ever happen here? Joseph waited two years in prison can I not abide my time and tame my patience?

AUDIENCE OF ONE The minstrel?s heart was tuneless, lost to song and dance; what love he?d had was lost now, without a backward glance. He?d given it to a snow queen, with beauty in her wintry smile; he hadn?t seen her cold cunning, the ice behind her style. He?d sat with her and warmed her, giving body heat as a gift, not seeing her frozen, jaded heart had long ago been put adrift. He came to save her from her fate, just hoping she would care, but the ice that blazed all through show she had nothing left to share. A newly lame ballerina watched the minstrel in his fight, and she could only shudder as he slowly lost the light; another kind of freezing was locking up his soul, and she raged against the madness that had doubled his control. No love is ever perfect, no love is ever kind, no love is ever placid, or easy yet to find; no love ever surrenders, even when it hurts, no love is ever declined. It?s easy to remember, when shadows sun in place, the last of storied splendor, the ancient days of grace. And so the prophet lingers, a dreamer and a fool, masquerading as a wise man, using wisdom to be cruel.

INNER GRACE Sharing the path is hard for some to whom life has not gifted with joy; the resident resilience of spirit is the mechanism that houses their heart, while love waits longingly, just outside consciousness and upstream of awareness. Gently tendered while gruffly guarded, an offered oasis can give peace for a small interval, just long enough for eyes to close. What heaven awaits the sentient sentiment? Angels hover in restless anticipation of the spirit?s surrender, holding apart their blessing from their joy; no cost goes uncounted in the perilous perimeter suspended between earth and afterlife. Lingering long in the shades of memory, a life is not assessed by length nor counted by the number of tears left falling in its watery wake; its value is truly scaled by the smiles of those left behind.

I came back from the Yankee Stadium concert really late and fell asleep immediately... and when I woke up in the morning, this little poem was in my mind... So I quickly wrote it down!! Short and sweet PAUL MCCARTNEY - Yankee Stadium Your STAR is so bright in the North Eastern sky How I wish I could meet you tonight Your music gives us all, so much delight Like the fireworks that reach up, so high in the sky To the Universe and beyond you are out of sight Paul McCartney

I write poems depending on how emotional I am. Like if I'm in a bad time i just write poems to show how i feel. some of them are really small. here are some when i was really down for a long time "I can't do this anymore. I'm just falling behind, drowning in a sea of black. A desertification of the mind. Too much stress, too much pain, just thinking about it hurts. I can feel the pressure eating me alive" and "The fake in my smile, the anger in my eyes, the gloom haunting me. I am in a never ending, restless sleep and when i wake up i feel the pain burning like acid in my tears"

Sillylovesinger42 so sorry that I missed your poems... how nice to see you posting on this thread... hope to see you here again Emotions do give us some great poems don't they. Paulmusica you are back!! So good to see you hope you've had a wonderful summer off! How is your writing going? Hi Jason and Earthmom1952 I always enjoy your poems so much, thanks for posting!! I see that I've missed Beginnings and Endings for this one... lol Inspired by the upcoming 911 Arrows of Love, Arrows of Hate Arrows of Love, Arrows of Hate They're flying everywhere there is no escape Arrows of Love, they can leave their scars Make you act funny and sometimes bizarre First just a prick, you may just overlook But before you know it, it's got you on it's hook You may start to wiggle like a fish on a line But if you relax it could feel quite divine Like a narcotic, it flows through your blood Makes you lightheaded, and you fall with a thud Pick yourself up, your steps feel much lighter Inside your heart, you're feeling the fire Oh shoot me full of those arrows of love Let it surround me so tight like a glove Let me walk through the days, where I hear the birds sing In the middle of winter, it still feels like spring Arrows of Hate that are meant to destroy Shot with a vengeance meant to injure and maim This type of arrow will always draw blood First it's a trickle, then turns into a flood Arrows of Hate come from fear and much hate Sent with one thought, to kill and annihilate Hardened hearts that feel only pain, They want to make sure, that you feel the same, Try to shoot back with some arrows of love Take aim quite slowly aim straight for the heart Arrows of love, sent quick in a volley A pelting of arrows shot quick like a dart Penetrating the wall and straight into the heart Melting away the Arrows of Hate Shoot them off quickly it's never too late.

Just today's verse: So, your stuff goes to storage And your pets to the pound Your kids off to foster care And you go in the ground
-
I know about the first And I know about the pets The pets that is the worst For no children, so no regrets And yet one can live on Don't let them get you down One day Love will have won Money just a useless noun (((((Earle)))))
