Painted Ladies Late at night on dead end streets, the painted ladies start to meet, on street corners they will stand, waiting on there promised land. the love they make is not for joy, making money is there ploy, lifting skirts above the knees, is just the painted ladies tease. the painted ladies start to pose, punters they will come in droves, with bulging wallets in there hands, to pay for there one night stand. Late at night on red light streets, the painted ladies scam complete, a night of loveless love is gone, the painted ladies head for home.

OK This is one of my favs because it reminds me of Botticelli, who never saw it, but makes me think that this is some mystical story of the woman in the shell. I think people had these in the equivalent of their lounge http://www.imagesofanthropology.com/images/_DSC0642-1.JPG

This is the Botticelli painting, IMHO one of the most beautiful paintings in the world... it's a large mural in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy and is really LARGE across the wall !!! http://www.googleartproject.com/museums/uffizi/the-birth-of-venus I LOVE THIS PAINTING... and wrote a poem, I'll see if I can find it... found it!! FLORENCE Red tile rooftops over Florence, Stretching out so far Reflecting across the blue sky?. The dome of El Duomo points up high ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Michelangelo?s David, larger than life Anticipation realized Stroll across the Ponte Vecchio Looking at the wares they show To the Uffizzi Gallery, excitement growing Up the stairs, turn the corner, Vision branded in my eyes? Botticelli?s Venus?.larger than imagined Birth from the sea?..such a delight to finally see? Flowers floating in space, blown by chubby cheeks of the Wind? held by an angel?to behold the beauty?. Of Venus?. This has been one of my very favorite paintings for many many years.... I finally got a chance to see it about 8 (10)years ago..... I am sooo happy it didn't get burned. Such sadness to think of the ones that did.

The Song That You Are The song that you are I still hear from afar It plays my heart strings loud and clear For the memories so melodic and fancifully quixotic a tonic for two or two for tea yes indeed So lets share a biscuit or maybe a tart Pull up a chair and pour out your heart Two friends who love music and laughter in spades Chat on and on More laughter til dawn For nothing in life is better than friends No matter what happens they're there in the end And in the End, the love you take Is Equal to, the love you make!

As I looked into her sulking eyes, I could see it came as no surprise, Our parting brought so many regrets, A river of tears are all that's left, Memories never to forget, A dream ending without laughter.

A little something I came up with as part of my rant over on the "Making rock/pop songs grammatically correct" thread: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=78081&start=150 (I'm convinced the first line is not the real lyric heard in Live & Let Die, even if official lyrics or even Paul himself say otherwise) If this ever-changing world in which we live in, Under that blazing Sun under which we live under, Should change so much that we live Outside these grammatical structures outside of which we can choose to operate outside of, Then that could be perfectly all right, Besides the pointless repetition besides which we end up with words beside each other beside which there need be no other words beside.

Sometimes people/songwriters just go with what they initially write down, it may not make sense to us yet makes sense to them.

Oh yes, I can put on my rappers cap its easy for me to make stuff rhyme endlessly. The trick is to have something to say. Which sometimes downgrades the overall quality of my flow but I do love poems.
