      7/5/14- Times Union Center

They feel like just about all the other times! But some Paul McCartney concert dates would be nice.

If past form is anything to go by don't expect a "Big Tour" announcement. We've grown used to Paul performing "tourettes" small blocks of gigs without any further news beyond that immediate block of gigs. So we might get one continent without any hint or suggestion where he might turn up next. We can project patterns from recent past years as certain areas are better suited to certain months according the climate, but as Paul is willing to take on both large outdoor Stadia and indoor Arena venues in equal measure that doesn't always apply. Paul has said he prefers to tour in this manner nowadays, in part so he is not so tied up that he cannot spend time with his young daughter. And as we've seen he (and/or The Beatles heritage) always has other projects in hand that he breaks up his touring to promote. It can be a bind to those that want advance notice so they can plan holidays and expenditure to suit but we have to run with what we get given. Martin

I can imagine Paul playing a few UK dates later this year in order to promote his next album but I would be surprised to see any announcement until the summer at the earliest.

Martinput is right and I dont expect any big tour annoucements as such, however I do beleive it is possible we will get a trickle of shows announced here and there, and I hope that if he does do any big UK summer gigs then he would announce them soon-ish, just like the 2010 UK dates were announced way in advance as all tours are, really. Otherwise, if not summer uk gigs I'm pretty sure that we will have some December UK gigs this year. Would be even better if we got both though!

I think Superfly got the exclusivity clause for paul this summer, which would probably mean, only BOnnaroo and Outside lands.

Are you serious? Does it just apply to Summer and not the year?

Does that mean Paul might play their Outside lands festival as well in August? When are they announcing the Outside land festival lineup?

The official announcement is Getting Closer! Just an hour ago it was stated that Paul's next world tour will begin in Brazil, on May 03. Original statement by the Extraordinary State Secretary For The Soccer World Cup in Minas Gerais:

News reported on the official website of the 2014 Soccer World Cup: http://www.copa2014.gov.br/pt-br/noticia/secopamg-confirma-show-de-paul-mccartney-em-3-de-maio-no-mineirao The administration of stadium has confirmed it too: http://g1.globo.com/minas-gerais/noticia/2013/03/paul-mccartney-vai-abrir-turne-mundial-em-belo-horizonte.html

outside lands is in august......aug 11-13. I actually prefer OSL over Coachella...just because they usually have a better line up....but Coachella has a better overall experience. The only thing that might let this deal fall through is the curfew. Golden gate park curfew is at 10 pm....and I also think they have a volume regulation. Paul declined to play at San Siro in Milan couple years ago due to the volume restriction ....... so that might be a problem also ....

Paul should just play there anyway. Can you imagine someone in San Francisco saying they need to turn that music down as Paul is playing Band On The Run?!? A passerby would be obligated to smack them in the face.

Which Sunday? Maybe there won't be a "Tour" in the sense of Up and Coming or On The Run. However, I think he's finishing up his new album, and releasing Wings Over America around Bonaroo. Guess we'll find out then.
