What camera did you use?
It's a Sony DSC-HX30V. Nice little point & shoot camera with a great zoom (20x optical). I'm pretty sure they now make a 50V model with a 30x zoom.
Really great shots man! Especially that one Paul is looking right at you. Thanks for posting them.

Your shots are amazing. How close were you?
Thanks. I was in the third row. Saved up forever for my once-in-a-lifetime hot sound experience. Totally worth it, although it meant I could only afford one ticket, instead of going with my wife as I have in the past. I would have also loved to take my daughters like you did, but I think they are just a bit too young (and sensitive to noise) to deal with it. Hopefully Paul will be back in a few years! I saw your Ram On sign, by the way. Sorry he didn't play it. They did play it in the soundcheck, don't know if that makes a difference to whether they play it in the show. He told the story of how Keira Knightley used it as her wedding song, which was pretty cool.

Ah, so cool that you saw our sign! I'm glad you got to hear it in soundcheck though. My girl was bummed but I told her he can only add one song per show and it was Long Tall Sally this time. It didn't seem like there were that many signs at the show. When he was doing the "drink it in" and sign commentary I swear he saw it. Did you see it from 3rd row or from another location? You have amazing photos! It must have been amazing to see Paul so close and have such great images of your experience. Very happy for you and thanks for sharing your pics.

Great pics! Thanks for posting. And I agree, Helter Skelter was phenomenal. That and Long Tall Sally blew me away!

Just got back home to Utah (I don't recommend sleeping in the Seattle airport) and I just want to say, out of the 16 Paul concerts I've been to, this one was EPIC. It was the best vocals I've heard Paul have on "Maybe I'm Amazed" the "Foxy Lady" jam was longer than usual (probably with Jimi from Seattle) and of course as has already been mentioned the Sirvana encores, even though that meant I missed out on "Hi Hi Hi". The band had more energy than I've seen - thanks for a wonderful night.
Hi sheepboy, I am in Utah too and we've been to all the same shows! I am surprised that I actually knew a few people at this concert. It was so incredible and I am still processing it. Though I was blown away by Long Tall Sally, I did really miss getting to hear Hi, Hi, Hi. Maybe next time And the crowd in Seattle was probably the nicest I've been a part of!

I saw your sign from the third row. I actually kept an eye out for it after reading that you were planning to bring it, and saw it quite easily. When Paul brought out the ukulele, I looked around and think I saw you put it up again. I agree that it didn't seem like there were many signs. There actually seemed to be more at the soundcheck. A couple of young guys had a sign at the soundcheck asking if they could meet Abe, and Paul made a joke about it, then asked Abe if he would like to meet the guys. He said yes, and Paul brought them backstage at the end of the soundcheck!

Yes, at the end of Mr. Kite I grabbed it and put it as high as possible. My daughter was very excited at that point and was clearly disappointed when he started Something. How cool of Abe. He definitely deserves the love, he is great.

Hi all! My name is James Moore and I'm new to the board. I would have posted this about a week back, but it took a full week to get accepted on this board...below is my review of the recent Seattle/Safeco Field Show, which was a life changer for me and the best concert I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Thanks to everyone involved for making it happen! http://www.independentmusicpromotions.com/paul-mccartney-nirvana-safeco-field/

James, Welcome to this Board and I loved your review. I am a much older Paul Mccartney fan so it is always good to hear the younger folks get into Macca. If you haven't already done so, you should definitely get the Remastered Wings Over America CD. This shows Paul (along with his Band Wings) at their very best and Paul at his vocal peak. I personally think it is one of the best "Live" performances in modern Pop-Rock History. Covering basically 3 albums, his hit singles, and a couple of great covers, it is an amazing, diverse 2 sided CD.

I'm curious: Were any Wild Life songs performed on Wings' '75/'76 tours?

Welcome to the board! I was there and I think you nailed it in your write up. An amazing experience that goes down as the best concert I've attended. You did leave out a very important member of Paul's Band....Paul "Wix" Wickens on Keyboards, Vocals.
-
Thanks for the feedback, guys! And I've just corrected the piece to add Paul Wickens. And yes, I do have a copy of "Wings Over America". After the concert I've been listening to a lot of "Flaming Pie" and "Ram", two of my favorite McCartney albums.

No WILDLIFE songs. In fact, only MAYBE I'M AMAZED from the McCartney LP, then MY LOVE from RED ROSE SPEEDWAY, the rest from BAND ON THE RUN, VENUS AND MARS, and AT THE SPEED OF SOUND, except for HI HI HI, which was a single, SOILY, which was never a studio release, and the Beatles songs, of course. Nothing from RAM either. Oh, and a Paul Simon song! And GO NOW by the Moody Blues!!
