I will never forgive myself for doing something that I would never normally do. Leave after the he did his last song. I heard he play his encore but to miss out on David Grohl is terrible. I had problems with this concert. I got their late took 45 min to find parking and missed the beginning which never happens. But it was a great concert the best I seen of Pauls. He did a great job and delivered everything he got. What songs did he play for the encore anyone know. I think I missed out on a lot didn't I.
The person sitting next to me in row eight left before the encore.... That wasn't YOU was it?! Best concert of his I have ever seen, but I will NEVER go back to Safeco. I have never experienced such rude staff in my life. My best friend did warn me that the employees are less than friendly and boy was she spot on (she lives in Bellingham and has been to Mariners games there). I didn't pay $700 for a ticket plus $300 for a rental car/merchandise/food to be treated like sh*t by a bunch of minimum wage making ballpark employees. That wristband mess was the biggest clusterf*** I have ever seen.

It's amazing that employees like that don't realize that -- without customers -- they wouldn't have a job. Of course, at minimum wage, ya' get what ya' pay for. Not that it excuses them at all.

For the stadium's first real concert, they could have done a way better job than they did. Believe me, I am drafting a complaint. Which I hate to do, because my job is customer service... But I am not happy with how we were treated. And I am eating my words over posting earlier in this thread that the Nirvana guys wouldn't come out on stage...

I'm still fuming about the wristband fiasco. If I hadn't waited 40 minutes in line for a wristband I would have been waiting in the merchandise line instead. No program for me. I purchased my tickets through crowdsurge and got no notification about the wristbands but I was talking to someone that purchased through ticketmaster and got an email that morning about it. If I would have known my experience would have been much different. After waiting in line for 40 minutes we got to the front to see a man and his escort (she looked like one) cut to the front. I screamed at the Safeco staff not to give them a wristband because they cut and they brushed it off. So the older man trying to look 25 with much younger girl in short tight skirt and five inch heels got wristbands right away while everyone else waited. If I didn't have my kid with me I would have made a huge stink. I wanted to complain, but not sure what I expect. Doubt I'd ever go to another show there. I emailed the merchandise vendor online and asked if they will be carrying the programs instead. I've tried to not think much about it since it really was the only bad thing about the show. Paul was great!

Surprised to hear about the complaints as we were treated great...staff were handing out the wristbands outside in the line up so we didn't have to go inside and get them... All staff we dealt with inside the stadium was great too...very friendly...

I have to agree that I was treated great by the Staff. I do know a little trick from going to many years of Mariner's games. I got in to the Ballpark through the 5th floor Safeco Field garage entrance. They were checking tickets in the line and gave me my wristband a half an hour before the gates opened. I got in as soon as the doors opened and made my way to the field taking the elevator. No big lines for Food or a Program. I normally hate Ticketmaster but shame on Crowdsurge for not emailing people about the whole wristband thing. I also got an email from Ticketmaster to purchase parking in advance and print my parking pass. That assured me a spot and was cheaper than buying parking at the Ballpark. I have emailed Safeco about the problems you all experienced and hope they will iron them out. This was the first major concert in the history of the Ballpark. I hope they learn from their mistakes.

I didn't read this whole thread. Why did you have to have wrist bands at this concert? Was this to get onto the field? Weren't your tickets enough? This is strange to me-I have had wrist bands to get into sound check, but not a regular concert seat.....

I don't know the answer but I would guess it was a double check because there were so many access points to the Field.

Same. And because of it, I missed out on the final merch I wanted to pick up that I saved for this show to avoid spending a lot of money at one show in particular. I picked up the Wings shirt for my coworker post-show and thank God he wears a big size because that's all that was left. I know someone going to the Canadian shows so I might ask her to pick me up a tour programme but I still feel bad having to ask. Paul was phenomenal. It's Safeco that I was angry with. Which is a crying shame, because my best friend splits her time between Bellingham and then her parents' home in Portland and I love to go to shows in Portland/Seattle since I have built-in accommodations. Safeco is off my list unless they make a BIG adjustment. And I think they should have let us get those stupid bands at more than just TWO access points... that was completely ridiculous. Or MAILED the silly things to us prior. I should stop b*tching about the venue and start raving about Paul... and Sirvana. ops:

I was there and everyone was really NICE..

You had to have a wrist band to get to the field seating...I was emailed by crowdsurge a few days before to advise that we needed wrist bands to get access to field and gave me instructions....kinda puzzling, but I guess we lucked out when staff handed them out in the outside lineup... Staff inside were great....I'm from BC and found the service better than what we normally get at BC Place.... I was still in good mood from having pic with band the night before though! lol

I didn't encounter any rudeness from the staff it just seemed like a lot of cluelessness going on with the two points to get wristbands. Unfortunately I had to wait for a babysitter so I couldn't get there early to to queue up in line waiting for the gates to open. Sounds like handing them out in line was smart and easy for everyone. I arrived about 20 minutes after gates opened and had no idea about the wristbands (never got an email). The security guy that checked us was great and let us in with the collapsable stepstool for my kid that I am pretty sure wasn't technically allowed. So yay for security! I got to the field entrance and was directed to the area to get wristbands. I don't know why the person who checked my ticket didn't tell me I needed one, but hey, it was busy. The line for the wristbands went up and down the stairwell six times with no clear barriers. So it was obvious that Safeco was not at all prepared for the amount of people that would need their wristband after entering (people that didn't get there before the gates opened). There were no Safeco staff manning the lines or checking on them, just a lot of people confused on where it ended and what to do. So after waiting 40 minutes and getting our wristbands we had to wait another few minutes for someone to punch holes in our tickets. Why?? I think the wristbands were to make it easier for the staff to wave people down to the field without having to check their tickets closely. Fine. But what made it easier for the staff to allow people down on the field made it awful for those with valid tickets who arrived a little later than when the gates opened. If there were more than two spots in the stadium to get the wristbands it wouldn't have been half as bad. But hauling to the location, standing in line, and then hauling back to the field entrance wasted huge amounts of time for us. Not that it's anyone else's problem, but dragging a young kid through massive crowds back and forth for something that seemed unnecessary really put me on edge. But like I said, I tried not to think about it much because the show itself was great and the people sitting around us were really nice and friendly and on great behavior. It was a beautiful night and once we finally got to our seats and the video roll came on all my cares disappeared.

The Seattle show was absolutely amazing - this was my husband's first Paul "experience", and I think he was pretty blown away. Getting to our field seats was definitely a bit convoluted, given the wristband situation. After the concert, I found that I had actually received an email about wristbands, but it had gone into my spam folder. : I found the staff to be very nice, but I was a bit disappointed by the number of completely drunk people in the field - some folks were falling over chairs and talking loudly during the performance. We were in the 25th row in field F, so our seats weren't as stellar as they were the last time I saw Paul (row 9 in Portland - this time around, I had a bit of a struggle with the presale tickets, for whatever reason) - I stood on my tip-toes most of the time and struggled to see Paulie on the piano, but I really can't complain! The whole evening was life-changing and invigorating, as always. Next time, I'm saving up for soundcheck/VIP tickets...I would just love to meet him and thank him for all that he has given me. I only brought a disposable camera to the show (I don't have a smart phone and wasn't sure what the camera policy was until we arrived at the venue), but we were fortunate to have a very sweet couple in front of us who sent us their fantastic photos and also snapped a quick picture of us:

The only bitch I have was , I was 2nd row away from the floor seats and the staff had to check EVERY Time somebody came on to the field ,SO at my eye level for the stage was ALWAYS Blocked by a line of people stopped...that never slowed down the WHOLE EVENING....I have never seen a show where people are walking around the whole time!!! It became really stupid...and I REALLY WANTED TO SEE ..Hi Hi Hi.!!! but I did get LONG TALL SALLY..Still a AWESOME EVENING..

I was going to say the same thing. We were right by the gate to the field closest to the stage. It seemed like about 200-300 of the same field people were obnoxious and drunk, constantly parading around like they were at a cocktail party or something. I was gonna say something the day after but I was wiped out after driving back to Portland right after the concert. That doesn't happen at arena shows.

yeah. sometimes people go to concerts more because it is an "event" and they can then brag about how they Saw McCartney at Safeco and Wasn't It Awesome. : Stadium shows tend to have more of that going on. but it happens in arenas, too.

After Yesterday I said to my daughter "Oh my god, here we go, he's going to play Hi Hi Hi!!!" And when he started talking about the special treat I went back and forth between "Oh sh*t it's not Hi Hi Hi" to "Holy crap he's going to play with Dave Grohl!". I kept hoping he'd still play Hi Hi Hi so it was the only show disappointment for me. But Long Tall Sally was a decent compromise. I had to take my daughter to a bathroom break during Live and Let Die and it was the first time I really turned around and saw the crowd (we were 13th row in section F) and I couldn't believe how many people were milling around. And when we were coming and going down the stairs back to the field I couldn't believe how many others were too. The only thing that got me out of my spot was my kid's serious need to use the bathroom... I can't imagine why anyone would spend that money to go to a show they aren't that interested in seeing.

Hey guys! Does anyone know where I could find collections of pictures from Paul's concert in Seattle online? Thanks, I appreciate it!

Hard to believe a whole year has gone by already since the best McCartney encore surprise of the decade! ...in my opinion, anyway
