Aaaaand goosebumps.
My friend and I who were at tonight's show were completely gobsmacked! We just couldn't believe they busted out "Long Tall Sally"! First time Paul has played it live since '86 at the Prince's Trust concert, I think!
I had this feeling this morning when I woke up that something special happened in Seattle last night. I just did. As I scrolled through the setlist, I noticed 39 instead of 38 then saw Cut Me Some Slack...figured...wow that's awesome! Then when I saw my favorite Beatles cover of ALL TIME on the setlist, my jaw dropped and I just stared blankly at the screen. I can't think of a time since '86 when Paul's brought out Sally. I think you're right. Unbelievable! I go to three U.S. shows and miss the big one lol.

I'll second that. I would love to have it as a memory of the greatest rock show I've attended.

Wow! That was something. I sure picked the right show to do my one and only third row VIP experience, even though it meant my wife couldn't go with me (we'd like to be able to afford to send our kids to college one day! ). The new songs were great (I was surprised by how good Lovely Rita, Your Mother Should Know, and All Together Now sounded, and how much I enjoyed them!), the extra long Foxy Lady was cool, and Paul's voice sounded great throughout, even on Maybe I'm Amazed. The crowd was pumped the whole time, but things went to another level when the Nirvana guys came out. Cut Me Some Slack was good, but I'll admit that I was kind of bummed when I realized it replaced Hi Hi Hi. Not a fair trade. But then they added Long Tall Sally, and I would take that trade any day! It was the wildest, rawest, rocking-est performance I've ever seen from Paul, and you've got to credit the Nirvanans for injecting energy into an already energetic band. Didn't Dave Grohl play drums on Long Tall Sally on the Backbeat soundtrack? It actually made me think of pre-1962 Beatles, lacking a bit of polish but making up for it with emotion and drive. This carried over into the raucous Helter Skelter, and the five-way alternating guitar solos on Carry That Weight/The End were great (although I don't think Dave and Pat's guitars were loud enough). So overall, a pretty good day! I'll try to download my pictures today and see if there are any worth sharing.

I've been so blown away by the show (replaying in my head over and over) that I am blocking out all the negativity. Besides the clusterf--- that was getting wristbands for field seats I was a little bummed about the lack of energy in my immediate area. I seemed to be the only one going insane. I mean, who wants to sit during Nineteen Hundred Eighty-Five? Not me. I was in section F row 13 btw. I was seated around some very lovely nice people but besides a couple of folks that were really into it the energy level was blah for too much of the show.

Geographically, the next closest show to that is Outside Lands so I have my fingers crossed on this happening again. PAUL, IF YOU ARE READING THIS, I BEG YOU!!!!

Me too. I was too focused on the show to mess around too much with cameras.

Hey folks! Here's some pics from last night's show. I'll maybe add some more later. A lot of the pics aren't that great, admittedly. I guess I was just too hopped up on adrenaline over the course of the show to take better photos! And also, a lot of the time, the boom camera operators got in the way as well. https://imageshack.com/user/llopez86/a/LGeF

I did not take enough pictures, I was enjoying the show too much to mess with my camera. I didn't get many decent ones. Wish the mike wasn't in front of Dave in this pic. And that crane for the video camera really got in my way.

I will never forgive myself for doing something that I would never normally do. Leave after the he did his last song. I heard he play his encore but to miss out on David Grohl is terrible. I had problems with this concert. I got their late took 45 min to find parking and missed the beginning which never happens. But it was a great concert the best I seen of Pauls. He did a great job and delivered everything he got. What songs did he play for the encore anyone know. I think I missed out on a lot didn't I.
