Saw this Norwegian singer-songwriter in concert last week. He's very McCartney-esque with his dreamy guitar-pop, strongly accented with handclaps and electronic touches. This is a song he wrote for a movie...has double melodies ala Paul. Almost a homage to "Fool On The Hill"...in a way! (His album "Please" is quite good. ) Any body else heard of him??

Yes, I love Sondre Lerche. And I do find his songwriting very McCartney-esque. Thanks for the reminder. 😊

We saw him open for Elvis Costello ten years ago and we've been hooked ever since. Most of his albums are gently melodic pop, but he's had one jazzy one ("Duper Session") and one very punky one ("Phantom Punch"). Still waiting for his new one to ship.

I take it you mean "Please"? Guess it takes a couple of weeks for it to ship once ordered. "Sentimentalist," on it the album is, well, our Paul!!!

Wasn't Sondra Lerche married to Clint Eastwood?

Yeah, I don't know why this took so long to ship. The other three things I ordered (including the George Harrison box) came pretty quickly. I'll look out for that track!

Regarding George, I (for now) decided just to purchase...."Dark Horse..Early Take/Demo" and "You". The early take of Dark Horse...love it. It's a very classy song. George ISN'T hoarse, as he was on the entire "Dark Horse" album, which was a bummer. For me. I mean "Dark Horse" shouldn't be "Dark Hoarse". George did great demos of numerous songs. And I absolutely love the guitar line on "You". It's a Bruce Springsteen sort of song...with the sax and all,, but George's vocal is a bit too high. I understand that he took some other version (Phil Spector's wife...whose name I can't bring up at the moment...Darlene Love, maybe????) and just erased the vocal and replaced it with his own. And yes, "Sentimentalist" is quite Paulish!!
