I really miss the premium content. I don't even know if I'm still a premium member. Does anyone know what's going on?

Am I the only one who actually liked those t-shirts?
Nope, I really like those shirts too. Actually, I liked the whole membership package. I was so excited to open that package when it arrived! I also liked the area on the website where you could review all the concerts (cities and set lists) for each touring year and add yourself if you attended a particular date. I had hoped they would eventually add more details like photos (maybe some fan photos), clips, press clippings, fan memories, or memorabilia.
I really like the poster that is now, no longer being distributed. And those^^^^ were some of the best features of the site. No more FAVORITES or, I WAS THERE buttons.
They seem to be getting rid of any and all fan interaction on the site. Everything that allowed us to add personal touches to the site is now gone.
It's all just an info-mercial. : :

I have to agree on the t-shirt. When I got it I thought, what.. that's all they could think of to put on the shirt? really? not even a photo? or something? The litho was kind of blah, also agreed. I already watched Live Kisses, on itunes live. So yeah I don't need to download it, although I did enjoy it.

This whole situation is disgusting. Premium members should be refunded immediately. All we got for our money was a lousy T shirt, lithograph and guitar picks. And now we are being fobbed off by some sort of 'goodie' bag? Keep your free download of Live Kisses. We should be given free DVD/Blu Ray copies AT LEAST. Shame on you MPL. The biggest McCartney rip off to date.
I have to think that an artist of Paul McCartney's stature is not going to ignore this. "T shirt, lithograph and guitar picks"? i paid for a premium membership not three months ago and didn't even get those things. The website at the time was the best I have ever seen - the content was marvelous. But please do not insult me with a "free download" of Live Kisses. I will wait a reasonable period before i say anything else, but this is not going away. Its not just the legality of it, its the principle. Over my lifetime, Sir Paul and his mates usually gave you more than your money's worth. But that does not justify this action. Looking for you to state your point of view.

I'm not surprised by that. A few rifts here were starting to make their way there.

It would be very easy for me to forgive the mishandling of our memberships if it came out that Paul's people discovered a major security breach (identity protection, etc.) and made the decision to suspend everything immediately.

I was sent an email to Pre-Order Live Kisses, which I attempted, but when I went to check out, I got this message at the bottom of the page - Forgot what network you logged in with, "Enter your email and we'll display the network you logged in with" When I entered my email address, NOTHING, what's the story, I was a Premium Member & there's nowhere to log in so I don't know what to do. PLEASE HELP email is : louloud@optonline.net

I keep getting asked to activate my Download account - WELL how do I do that there's no Link, I received no email, this really stinks !!! Paul would never tolerate this if he knew what was happening. I'm a Premium Member Louis Nuccio louloud@optonline.net

Kay:
Just had an email about pre-ordering the kisses dvd, saying that we will get a free download. A download is the last thing I want, if anything I would want a dvd. Not as if they even give us the chance to offset the price of the digital download against a dvd. Must admit my main reason for joining was the possibility we might get a chance to get a decent ticket at shows, which was a fiasco. For the RAH we got better tickets taking our chances in the public sale and had to sell on the lousy tickets I got though being a Pioneer member. Thought it might be just a little bit like the good old Fun Club. What a waste of money We were mugs.
I'm with you, Kay. I don't even like Kisses and wasn't going to buy it. Now it's only being given as a download? So I can have a download of something I don't want. The only concerts during this time frame of membership in the US were the recent ones and I purchased the sound check package to insure I have a good ticket. I had already decided this was my last Paul concert and now I know it is.

In fairness to Paul and the website, it's not really their fault if people don't want the "Kisses" download because they didn't care for the album. When we joined we were never promised that we could pick and choose which items we would receive. I agree that a DVD or BluRay would be a much better compensation than a download though.

A download which costs them nothing. How about sending us the book that comes with it? That's what I'd like. Plus a Wings shirt!

There has been a security breach on Paul's site in the past, though (remember the hackers?), and the site wasn't redone. It was probably made more secure ( Hopefully! :lol, but the content of the site didn't change.

Can anyone post the actual wording of what we were to receive with premium membership? I can't find it anywhere. I'd like to see how it reads.

Hackers? Missed that one!

I am in London to visit my daughter and I decide to check my email. Opened the message from Paul McCartney.com, and find out you just shut it right down, "This page does not exist", really, how could you care so little about all of the people that were members. I want my page back, all of my messages, and my blog posts. I lost my Mother this year, my husband had a heart attack in April and I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, so much sadness in my life. Paul's website was a positive place of calm in my life, and now it is gone, and my heart can't take any more!
-
Thanks to my friends for helping me get through the past year. It really upsets me that I can't get to the messages we exchanged. They deleted our fan pages just like they deleted us, without a second thought.
-
So sorry to hear about all your troubles shalema! I agree, it is really rotten what they did. At least they didn't take away this forum, so you can still come here.

I would like to post my views about the cancellation of premium membership. First, the individual pages that customers/fans created were personal to them and very interesting to others, mainly their friends. These pages should be reinstated. Second, all the friends that I made (100 or so), I am not able to contact. This was all done in the spirit of a global community, or peace and love and understanding, a way of furthering "peace in the neighborhood." The ability to have "friends" and directly communicate with them should be reinstated. Third, dedications should be reinstated. Fourth, the juke box should be reinstated. And lastly, this forum is NOT USER FRIENDLY. The Beta Premium site was very user friendly, more than adequate.
