A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com

Is the log in prompt going to come back on on the site Or is that off until they finish the updates. Can't access Microsoft windows so I cannot access it except with fire fox. Unless you can recommend a 3rd browser option. I do not know what to do here love doris

Not sure how to feel about the changes. Some are good, most are bad. Definitely feel ripped off though, and a free download of Live Kisses wont help that.

I have not yet received any emails from paulmccartney.com about a Live Kisses download. Have they been sent out yet?

Considering that Live Kisses hasn't been released yet...no. For those who say they don't want Live Kisses, well here's a solution - don't download it! Live Kisses *is* different to the iTunes show, in terms of editing (and polish), and different to the TV version due to the special features. So if you've got either of them recorded, there's should still be something extra here. Plus, the 'extra' goodies, I'm hoping, will be physical, rather than 'choose an album you've already got to download for free'.

Ah I see! Dont think I will be downloading it. I really dont care for this whole side project! But as for the goodies..I\'m hoping for something good - something physical!

Hello again to all As one of those who joined the premium membership very recently, I would like to point out that we (or at least I) received nothing in the way of t-shirt, lithograph etc. As the decision to terminate the premium membership wasn't made in a vacuum, there either had to be a decision to (a) honor the premium members with something of equal value or (b) not to do so. I simply cannot believe that Paul McCartney would tolerate the latter. I've got a framed picture of the man on my wall, for goodness sake. I understand that MPL is a large outfit, but this is more than a bit much. I'm not rich, I'm just a McCartney fan - and one way to delineate the die hard fan is by looking at who would spring for such a membership. I would appreciate Sir Paul making a brief statement and appropriate amends to those who truly love his music and what he stands for in the end - love and truth.

I'm cynical. I will believe goodies when I see them--and they'd best be physical.

I've taken a few days to consider this. This whole thing is a step backwards. OK so you didn't want to continue with the 'premium' membership, but why scrap membership altogether. I have never really felt that as a Premium member (and Pioneer for that matter) that we have got much in return for our money. We were promised much and got very little. The start of the slippery slope was when premium memberships were given away with RAM! I might add that when the first of us signed up as 'Pioneer' members we were promised that even if our premium membership stopped we would be Pioneers for life. - I didn't realize that PM.com's idea of 'life' was different to mine! I can only hope that the current sight is a stop gap to something more sensational! I am not a fan of digital downloads, I much prefer a physical product. Any chance of a voucher for the value of the download off the DVD or Bluray for those who would prefer it? Hope the other 'goodies' are worth the wait!

Right you are!!! I was hyper-ventilating with shaking hands rushing to become a pioneer member due to the promise we would be pioneers for life and that we would be rewarded in some undisclosed way for being "amongst the first by whom the new is tried". It now appears that what we were led to believe was an instrument to bait us into being part of a test group and really nothing more. How very disappointing if that is true. I know that for many of us scraping up the $ right before Christmas was difficult but our undying support of Paul drove us to beg, steal, borrow, and scrounge up the $ to be in that first group of members. I enjoyed all aspects of the site and just kept patiently waiting for some of the glitches to get ironed out. I also luved the membership package (those badges and guitar plectrum were terrific). I actually pre-ordered Paul's upcoming DVD as soon as I was able to so I will have a physical copy and do not require a download of it or a physical copy. I feel saddened by the decision to pull the plug on the enhanced site and I would like to know why the decision was made. I hope a similar decision will not bring down this wonderful BBS!!!

Some have said that Paul should say something...hmmm. I wonder if he really even knows & if he doesn't he should be told how upset everyone is. Serious. And I also think someone should be addressing all these complaints & questions already. jthrillington says:

How brilliant!?! : Don't DL it. Geeez...maybe some people want something else. Just because it's top on their list doesn't mean we all want it on our list. Sure they fixed it up & maybe autotuned his voice on that DVD. So it will be diff than the TV show. But I saw it once & have it recorded & don't need it again. But I would like the book with photos that comes with it. Think they'll send those out? I doubt it.

You made some great points! Especially the sentence about the "slippery slope!" So true! I'm not a big fan of digital downloads either, and I already have the Live Kisses DVD on pre-order, so wish they would give us a choice, like a $ voucher for the pm.com store or something else!

At work one time they had these "focus groups" to ask us our opinion of our department, the way things were managed, etc. We nicknamed them "fu*k us" groups. That's how I would describe us being guinea pigs for the beta testing of Paul's new site!!

I've started a Find A Friend topic in the Talk More talk forum to aid members that have lost contact with Main Site Friends to reconnect: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=85264 Please continue to post feedback and comments about these changes in this topic and allow that thread to serve the purpose suggested. Nice idea. Martin, but I'll be honest here. some of my friends on the sight were banned from here. it was nice to still talk with them about Paul as I wasn't a part of whatever happened to get them banned. So they're gone for now. (gets out bag of magic dust and sprinkles it on computer...)
