What Concerts are you going to this year?

GYPSYGIRL:
Our kid wants to see The Jonas Brothers in August at the fair. But when I discovered tix are 200 clams, sadly, I had to say no.
However maybe this will become a trend and more people will stay home and send a message to these greedy promoters that it time to bring ticket prices down. Sadly Paul was the one who started this trend. Tickets used to be affordable. On another note I going to see Crosby Still and Nash tonight

Hope everyone has a grand time!

Saw these guy on Sat night. at a winery. It was cold. The band wore coats and hats. Did I mention cold and wind. No encore this night. To cold My ears went numb but they were good. Wish I were back on the Marrakesh Express at least is was warm.

Gram Nash, David Crosby and Stephen Stills

In the past, I've gone to Paul's concerts in all types of weather. Ranging from nasty, sweltering heat to numbing, freezing cold. And I'd do it all over again everytime. To paraphrase a saying from the L'Oreal commericals: Paul's Worth It!
-
There are a lot of great acts coming around this year. Unfortunately cash is a little tight, so I may only get to see one or two. - So far I've only been able to work out plans for one show. - So who am I going to see? Weird Al Yankovic! - Well, at least I didn't have to worry about having to buy the tickets from a scalper. - Weird Al is fun, but hopefully I can work something cooler into my schedule before the summer is finished!

I've only seen Paul in a inside concert. I didn't relise that he did out door concerts. I wonder if he will ever do the Gorge and George. thats a great venue. The winery I went too I never done before. It was too early for a concert there. Wind at 40 degrees in not confortable. As far a Paul goes I agree. He's more a hysteria vibe from his fans than these guys. Crosby Still Nash are a great band but not in the same level as Paul. Can't see Paul wearing a wool had and coat.

I've seen both Paul & Ringo at indoor & outdoor venues. No matter where, they are the best!!!!!!!!

Actually Madonna and The Rolling Stones were the first to start charging big money for concerts in the 90's. But look at the cost of the production also. Stage, lighting, sound, video, some of these stage set-ups are huge and take Big $$$ to produce a concert.

In my opinion the first band that really turned the tide and started the big money concert ticket prices were the Eagles on the 1994 reunion tour, Hell Freezes Over. That was the first concert I remember thinking that the prices were ridiculous. They got away with it sold out everywhere and the rest is history.
-
Non I actually never go to a concert... But if Paul comes to Holland with his coming world tour, I'll be there! (That'll be the first time I see Paul!)
-
I have a ticket for Rod Stewart at MGM Las Vegas Aug 2nd, and possibly Ringo at Primm Valley NV and Air Supply Labor Day weekend in Las Vegas.
