I got it -- er -- I've got it!: "Yes, I know that I'm complainin'..." (DING! DING!) We have a winner!

21st Century Paul:

All I can say is "I've Had Enough"

I love that this thread started without being able to find many Paul songs tha were gramatically incorrect and as I read through more and more appeared 'Nothing to much just out of sight' is pretty poor grammar. I have to admit I find it hard to notice poor grammar because I often come to just accepting them

It isn't really "rock n' roll" to use perfect grammar all the time, is it? Either in speech or lyrics, especially lyrics. This entire topic is tongue in cheeky. One hopes the Macca man isn't miffed or offended by our small 'corrections.' He's got a great sense of humor, so he probably isn't

Couldn't have said it better!

21st Century Paul:
Isn't this wrong? My love does it good My love does it WELL :
By adding a coma, you could correct the first one: My Love Does It, Good ('good' being the emotional descriptor of how he feels about the fact that his love does it )

I'm gonna have to go with either a period or long-dash on that one, my friend.

You're right - my grammar is a little off after a long day at work (and at all other times too)

Black Eyed Peas: I Gotta Feeling

I like it. At least compared to the rest of what they do. I even have sung it at karaokes. Trying to mimic the autotune things by blocking my nose with 2 fingers. that to-NIGHT's gonna be a GOOD-night... Meet Me Halfway is even funnier to do live. maybe some day I'll post some of that

I aint got nobody, that i can depend on my mom hated that line. stated it hurt her ears\ aint got noone

My ears just exploded! Yikes! Double-negative. The use of "ain't." Ending a sentence with a preposition. (Tisk, tisk)
-
well, there's lots of that, double negatives... "Ain't no sunshine when she's gone..." "Ain't nobody/nothing" on lots of songs, actually I always thought it was correct.

Has anyone brought up George Harrison's "When We Was Fab" yet?
-
I understand what Lennon was trying to say in "Run For Your Life" but it comes out pretty absurd!! "Well I'd rather see you dead, little girl Than to be with another man."
