Thanks. Funny how you think it's too fast, when in fact I think it's a bit slower than Simon & Garfunkel's album version on Bridge Over Troubled Water.
After listening to it a few more times, I think it is sincerely beautiful and very very well done. You honestly have an incredibly beautiful voice!

As I hear I'll try to figure a key for you (and for me, but I don't mind one key or another really...) for Bridge Over Troubled Water. I planned it on G. So the highest notes "like a bridge..." would be C. But as you sing higher maybe A# would be better for you, and less low in the lowest notes. Then the highest notes would be A# and B at the very end, you know. But maybe it could be better higher for you... As for today I would record the thing in A# but yesterday I would have recorded it in G... Feel free to say anything about it. (I know we're commenting everything about the duet on the board, it may lose mistery, but it's a curious thing to read...)
You're speaking Chinese to me here. I have absolutely no clues about keys and which would be better for my voice. : When I'm playing on my guitar, I just change my capo and try things out to see when it's "right" for my voice. But that's as far as my musical capabilities go, I'm afraid.

The 'wiki' on the song is interesting... The Boxer
I love this part : "Garfunkel was amblin? around the studio, hummin? and havin? input at various times. " I love that the guy who didn't play an instrument or write the lyrics did provide the harmonies! And especially for the Boxer, what great harmonies it were! It took me quite a while (and lots of video watching and listening closely to every bootleg version I could find) to figure them out, and then I had to try and sing them higher than Art too. (not that I minded watching a lot of videos...I could probably only watch this video for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. http://www.myvideo.de/watch/1995459/SIMON_GARFUNKEL_The_Boxer_1975_Live))

I like this video...
I've got an idea. We can look for the sexiest videos ever and post them. We can even do kind of a contest choosing what's the sexiest one at the end. I thought to do the same with joking songs, or recordings that make you laugh. We can do both "contests".
This is a great idea. Since we're talking about 80s music...

I thought of the same video first than the Chris Isaak one. I thought it was too obvious...

Almost seems humanly impossible for them to sound so good together. My brother and I were talking about old concert posters the other day so I was googling Beatles posters and since the Cyrkle opened for them in 1966 in the US I wiki'd them and discovered that their hit "Red Rubber Ball" was co-written by Paul Simon. I'm guessin' this isn't news to Evie! No wonder it was a hit!
Some of the comments on youtube for the S&G version are interesting...wonder how much of it is true. -

I remember seeing a video where Paul talks about this. But hmmm, where to find it? He wrote it and kind of sold it to that other group. I think it WAS about the money at the time, like some of the comments seem to suggest. Don't know about the royalties though, and if he refused to credit his co-writer. I think he was still quite young at the time. I'll have to dig in my "archives" to find the video. I'd never seen the Cyrkle video though, thanks for posting. The acoustic guitarist is quite cute.

Ha! Ten words or less? I know (and anybody who knows me knows that this is not a job for ME. Anybody else want to take a stab at it? Meanwhile, welcome aboard.
I can explain in ten words: sex, boobs, music, food, movies, politics, weather, health, tv, supernovas.
or "where were you while we're getting high?" or "apreciating the beauty there is in life"...
Very good.

Ouch! What the hell was she thinking...? http://www.break.com/index/excited-chick-lands-painfully-off-stage.html
She wasn't Here's one you'll like... http://www.break.com/index/robbie-williams-gets-pushed-off-stage.html
You know, this annoys me to NO END. I mean, not Robbie Williams, but the fans getting on stage. I mean, it nearly always ends well, but it could be so much worse. If I was an artist on stage and it happened to me, I'd say to hell with it all and never do another show in my life. : I mean, if you can't be safe anymore on your stage....same thing when I saw Simon&Garfunkel's Central Park concert for the first time and that fan rushed on stage when Paul was doing a solo number, that fan was screaming something like "I gotta talk to you". : I mean, honestly. And that was in 1981, right after Paul's lyrics went "have you heard John Lennon has died". I'd be SO annoyed and really scared as well.
I agree, this annoys me too. No one deserves this. When he is standing there on stage not expecting this and not being able to defend himself he could get seriosuly injured. I would never go on a stage again if something like this happened to me, I would have been to scared. The asshole who did this should spend some time in jail.
yet the show must go on and if you're a musician you simply must get back to the stage, even if it's danger... like happened to Noel, maybe is the same guy??? It's not the same but I know Freddie (Mercury) had a strange injury on the stage. He broke his arm doing one of those moves he did singing... then he went to the piano and finished all the concert there. Or was it a leg? Yes, It should have been a leg...
I guess you're right. The show must go on. I haven't heard this story about Freddie. He broke his leg on stage? Wow! Maybe it's on YouTube...?

Oh yeah! That is a very sexy video! Chris Isaak looks so happy when the babe is about to take off her bra. But I did not like the ending... what the hell was he doing?

Oliver, I'm going to try and learn Mrs. Robinson on guitar too. But it'll probably still take a while so by all means, do continue your piano arrangement.

I don't think so... not every Queen concert was filmed, only a little few... well, seeing all the things he did on stage, he was lucky to only breaking a leg in so many concerts.
