Great news! I wish Rick Wright and Syd Barrett could be around to experience it. I saw Pink Floyd's "Division Bell" Tour in 1994. LOVED IT! ❤ Wish Roger would come back.... All together now!

Official announcement expected tomorrow. But now they're saying Roger Waters isn't on it and there are no plans to tour. Still looking forward to it!

At this point anything new,no matter how old,is welcome. Waters era is long since done now so he wont go back and nor should he frankly.

Sounds like it's going to be a Rick Wright album mainly, with contributions from Nick and Dave being added now. They're still working on it apparently.

It is supposedly an instrumental remix of Division Bell outtakes. It will probably not be their best.

On the bright side, I don't think Gilmour and Mason would put it out as a Pink Floyd record unless they felt it would hold up with the rest of their work. I have a feeling it's going to be very, very, good!

I really love the "melodic aperture" that PF did after Roger's gone. They lost an amazing songwriter but Gilmour-Wright (RIP)-Mason are amazing musicians (better than Roger in this, I mean, Gilmour is a kind of God with his guitar, Wright was a genius with keyboards and Mason is a great drummer, but... is Roger a great bass player?) and everything that came after The Final Cut shows how great were they creating melodies. And The Endless River talks about it. Amazing musicians making amazing melodies with their instruments. I can't wait!!

Happy to hear this, going out with a bang About it being their last album, it's sad, but at least they have control over the narrative and can frame/market it as such. That said, I do tend to lean on the optimism of the likes of Paul, Jimmy Paige, Nick Mason (in this case), and so on, in hoping for future collaborations on some level if not a full reunion. If they really wanted to, they could still record new material as a trio: David Gilmour, Nick Mason - and Roger Waters. Obviously, that's not very likely and would be difficult to materialize considering the personalities involved, but it wouldn't be impossible. The biggest obstacle to getting all of them into the studio would probably be Gilmour, but the biggest obstacle IN the studio would probably be Waters. However, they have both collaborated with each other a few times in the last decade, plus Nick Mason has been a very diplomatic, facilitating, and calming force in the group and has stated that he'd be open to such a thing. In the end, the main thing is that they are all (but especially Gilmour and Waters) still so talented and creative in their solo careers that it would be worth it to hear what they might come up with, even if it's only one song and not under the official "Pink Floyd" name.

Really enjoying this. I got the Blu-ray box set so lots to delve into. It isn't "commercial", but it's unmistakably Floyd. Great sounds and impeccable production from the band. It's also possibly going to be the biggest album of the year.

Big surprise. I'm enjoying it too... Look what PF can do when Waters is not trying to create this "obscure" atmosphere. PF can sound sweet and beautiful.
