Halifax, NS - Halifax Common - 11th July 2009 - ARCHIVE

Thanks! I knew I could count on you guys! I've got two tickets. I feel terribly incompetant that I couldn't find out where/how to order online -- I kept ending up with second party sellers -- but your link worked like a charm. I only wish I had it yesterday. Section 10 of the VIP section is far, but very do-able!

Congrats to all who got tickets!

http://www.paulmccartney.com/news.php?version=html Goodluck all!

What? He's going to play Citi field just after Nova Scotia? This is deja vu all over again (as Yogi Berra used to say)... I wouldn't have been able to see him at Shea and get in line for Quebec. But since this is several days after July 11 maybe... just maybe... Gee.. do I still want to go to Halifax? Fascinating the symmetry.

tickets are STILL available, wonder if they will have general admission for the shows in NYC, those dates work so much better for me............

Here is a link that Halifax newsletter sent from when Sir Paul played in Quebec

Took me a few days to find this forum again...kept trying off the Paul McCartney website, but links didn't work....glad I found it now. Man, I can't believe my good fortune. Been a Paul fan since I first "I've Had Enough" back when I was 13 or so (I'm 44 this year). Always wanted to see a Paul McCartney show but here in the Maritimes in Canada, it was never a possibility and getting tickets to a venue where he was playing when on tour (like Toronto or Boston) was about as easy as finding a needle in a haystack. Now for the second time in a little over a year I get to see my musical hero again. Went to the Quebec show last July (what a fantastic show that I still re-live in my mind almost daily) and at 9:00 last Friday I was on line at ticketatlantic.com and at 9:02 had my four VIP tickets for me and my family (my 9 and 13 yr old boys love his music as well). It's only a four hour drive to Halifax and we are pumped!!! Section 6 row 25....much better view than way back on the hill at The Plains Of Abraham in Quebec. What are the chances that playing in Nova Scotia, which has a strong Scottish history and culture that Sir Paul may enlist a local pipe band (of which there are many talented and skilled pipe bands to choose from here in Atlantic Canada) and add "Mull Of Kintyre" to the setlist? I really hope so. NYC Fan....glad to see your coming to the show as well, I followed your posts after the Quebec show and was totally caught up in your stories...thanks for sharing. -Rod

Speaking of which, I contacted Brian Ray, telling him about how the Halifax show will be my first Paul concert. I mentioned that I would like to see "Kintyre" played, and he got back to me and said it was a very likely possibility.

I would think they would do "Mull" as Nova Scotia means "New Scotland"...lots of Scots heritage there...

Sweet!!! Brian is so awesome!!!!

Just an FYI for US citizens travelling to Canada - as of June 1, a passport or equivalent travel papers is now required to cross the border into Canada...a drivers license will no longer 'cut it'...So if you're from here in the states and purchased your tickets to see Paul McCartney already, but don't have the proper documentation, do yourself a favor and get moving towards obtaining the appropriate documentation http://gocanada.about.com/od/canadatraveloverview/qt/uscitizenborder.htm

Now a "fold-in-a-bag" chair is allowed for the GA.

After all "Nova Scotia" is latin for "new Scotland".

Certainly not during the show, but before it starts it will be nice to have a chair.

If the show was in Toronto we'd hear a different story
