Not sure if there's any truth to this............but, you never know where Paul will pop up these days! Gosh, he likes to play off the "beaten-track" for sure!!! He may as well do an exclusive tour of the greatest country in the world! I hope this show materializes anyway!
-
I just wish he would do a short tour like he did in 2002.
-
he must be interested in canada and find it intriguing?
-
Noooooooooooo! Not in July! I'll be in B.C. I'm from Moncton, New Brunswick, so seeing him in Halifax would be no sweat! Hopefully, he postpones it to August... IF it happens. *sigh*

Chicago Tom:

*Ditto* ~sigh~...........I'm at the point of accepting, no tour will again, materialize from Paul. The vast majority of his fans simply cannot go to him, in the manner he has been performing at unusual venues/events.........unless Paul maps out a tour, giving us (me!!) a chance to line up a show or two, it can't happen.........and that's the most frustrating part of this. I have "a life" that I can't drop on a whim........ A short tour would at least give more fans a shot at seeing him.........please Paul?

CRAP...I kind of hope this one doesnt happen coz I dont think I could pull off going to that mainly as its my busiest weekend for work...actually having said that hmmm I dont think he'd do it that weekend actually

It sounds like this promoter puts on a show at the Halifax Commons site every year. Last year he says he showed Paul's team around the venue and rumours circulated when Paul's staff were spotted. Nothing came of it that time round. I wonder if this is just local press and fans talking up that occurance in the hope he might somehow get it to happen this year. I notice this time round the promoter is staying tight lipped about this current round of speculation. One common feature I have noticed that links all Paul's performances this year is that he has appeared at events promoted by others. That decision has shifted the planning and financial commitment for all the ancilliary peripherals such as event security and stage building onto the local promoter (Coachella, Hard Rock, David Lynch Foundation) leaving just the stage production to Paul and his team. That has meant that Paul can appear at major events without the costs that would be associated with promoting and organising a tour himself. That could also have been the arrangement with his concerts last year - Liverpool, Kiev, Quebec and Tel Aviv with the host cities sharing the costs. I'm speculating that if there are any further appearances this year they may also be at similar events where someone else takes the lions share of the organisation and costs. Martin

Wonderful news. The Tall Ships will not be in port on the night of the concert arriving a few days later with a Grand Parade Of Sail on their departure from Halifax on the 20th July: http://www.tallshipsnovascotia.com/ http://www.tallshipsnovascotia.com/pages/TallShipsAtlanticChallengeRace.aspx I've been onshore when a Tall Ship Parade Of Sail took place off Weymouth UK some years ago - a wondrous sight indeed, even better if you can get on the water on one of the many sightseeing boats that go out to meet the fleet. If going to see Paul, if you can extend your visit to Nova Scotia to take the fleets arrival in then I can recommend it. Here we go again..... Martin
