I don't plan to attend (I'm seeing Paul in Portland), but I did check the page....It seems there's a ticket in first row at $295.....are my eyes deceiving me? Go for it, somebody!
I tried a bunch of times and never pulled up the front row ticket, but I did find one in Row 5 right in front of Paul's microphone. So I got that one. THANKS for posting! So...does anyone want to buy my single 10th row ticket for Tuesday? I bought it as a Gold ticket and will sell either with all of the extras for face value or just as a ticket (for a lower price). It's an e-Ticket so I can just email it.

I'm very happy for you, YoungGerl. A slew of tickets have come up in Portland, and I'm hoping the true fans get those as well.
-
Y'all are a bad influence!!! Guess who spent the last hour in a fit of panic on Ticketmaster - and looking for flights and worrying whether missing so many days of class will lead to a B and dash my dreams of law school forever....? Long story short.... Vancouver (and hopefully Mull of Kintyre) here I come!!! *still trembling*

Thanks! Did you get a good seat for Portland, I hope??

Oh, I got a fine seat for Portland, in row 6. I've seen Paul several times, but it's always more special when he comes to your hometown.

[EDIT: oops, wrong thread]

Pulled row 6 center today for Tues at Rogers. Started with uppers on the presale, then better uppers, then row 15, now... It seems the strategy these days with most shows is to sell the lamer seats first, then slowly drop the better seats as the event draws nearer.

I said from the very start it was rigged. Why should we fans even bother any longer...

There's excellent floor tickets still available on TM, never mind all the other ones going for face value or less on Stubhub and Craigslist. Is anybody actually going to these? Hard to picture empty seats at a Paul show. I think high ticket prices, and a flip-flop marketing strategy telling people its sold out, when that's clearly not the case, then advertising like crazy, are factors. Also last time, he hadn't played Vancouver as a solo artist ever, and he spaced this and the 2013 Seattle show at CenturyLink by 8 months. Both sold out quickly. Now we got Portland, Seattle, and 2 weekday shows in Van back to back. There's just not that enough demand in the PNW I guess. [That said, I have sold a few extras at cost]

I agree with you...have seen Paul 9 times and will be seeing him for both shows, but this whole process has left a very bad taste in my mouth. It is very discouraging putting out big $ and find out much better seats released well after the presale and general sales..

Yes, it's the same worldwide. These tickets don't really sell like that. Absolutely rigged from the start. But boycotting doesn't get us anywhere.

And the most frustrating part: the expensive nosebleeds we got presented are worthless and going for 50 bucks on secondary market.

Agree...I'm gagging to see what tickets are going for on stubhub et al.. .Ticketmaster...Paul...Rogers arena or whoever have completely screwed it up,this time around...not sure if it is a factor, but maybe announcing 2 shows from the get go was a factor...dunno I'm gonna go and have a good time as taking our kids but I won't forget this fiasco

Vancouver also has a kind of tourist town mentality, where seeing Paul once, for most is enough. More of a curiosity factor working. Although I consider myself a diehard (I don't know why it took me so long to sign up here), and I do know other diehards - plus, the family that appears in the DVD of "The Space Within Us" wearing the Sgt Peppers uniforms are from the Vancouver area and one of them plays in a Beatles tribute band - but still, the masses here just aren't that interested. Who knows though, Vancouver is also a very last-minute kind of town where a thousand tickets on Stunhub could disappear in a day or two before the show, I've seen it. Or Paul's management might have to resort to Stones tactics and go hand out free tickets before the show just to fill seats, because like Mick, he may not be fond of empties. I could see them at the 4/20 pot rally handing out freebies to unsuspecting stoners. - "Would you like a free Paul McCartney ticket?" - "Paul's not here, man"

I'm still looking for a home for this single ticket. If you don't want all of the extras, you can have it for the price of a normal ticket (CA$329, US$255). Message me if interested!

or the 2 for 1 like in Amsterdam. I remember last time he was in Vancouver I pulled up 8th row center the week of the show (at the regular price), unfortunately couldn't afford the trip back then.

Ok, now the following is settled I can fully enjoy looking forward to it all: It wasn't meant to be I would see McCartney on this tour. The one year he's doing a proper European tour, even bringing a brand new tour over within 1,5 month after the debut instead of giving us the warmed-up leftovers, I'm abroad. I'm going to be in California in a few days, planned for quite a while. Of course he then announces the damn tour opener, in California, one day after I arrive. Not meant to be. But wait a minute, I've got about 24 hours to spare in between trips, so... back and forth, off to Vancouver for one gig. Up in the middle of the night for the sale, I got myself a pair of absolute nosebleeds, and they weren't even the cheapest. I assumed this was a North American McCartney gig thing: an event too hot to handle, lucky I got in at all, and I went with it. Well, we all know now how that ended. If not, see the previous posts. This wouldn't have ever happened to me in Europe, but I truly didn't think much of it. I was a bit bitter about what happened afterwards - possibly my tone gave it away ;)? - and while I was happy at first to just be there at all, I now was annoyed about how I screwed myself over. To quote an old band mate of Macca: I should have known better. Alright, why I'm posting this: credit where credit's due, I contacted Ticketmaster Canada and they promptly were more than supportive with providing a solution with upgrading my tickets to better seats available, only having to pay the price difference if choosing more expensive seats. Props to them. I can't wait for the tour debut week, and will probably avoid the forum altogether until then, since the last 4 times I avoided the setlist at least one addition got spoiled. (Radio City Music Hall '09 I heard someone talk about the soundcheck, Good Evening Europe '09 it was my father citing a review from the gig the day before , Bologna '11 it was seeing a blurb in the local press about the rehearsals and last year it was social meda posting the addition all over the place.) Anyway, long story short: those who are really saddled with tickets through the way the ticket sale was being set up, try to contact them and explain the situation.

A friend was also able to upgrade her tickets by calling Ticketmaster. So does this mean you'll be in Vancouver NobodyToldMe?? I haven't seen anything about a meet up - and I don't want the responsibility of organizing one, but if anyone wants to grab a drink or food after the show send me a PM.....from tonight on I'll be sticking to the spoiler free thread because I want to be surprised at Vancouver. About everything - songs (explicitly or vaguely), set, stories, show length..even merch 6 more days!! :

Saw 2 tix 6th row center for Wed on Stubhub only slightly over cost recently. Crazy. Georgia Straight's Steve Newton's tweet: "Tix still available for both #PaulMcCartney shows in #Vancouver next week. Has the whole world gone freakin' crazy?! http://ow.ly/10AI2G"

I have two tickets 7th row floor for 4/20 in Vancouver!!! Seat 11/12 Face Value... Who want them? $330 each Canadian I have them on the face value ticket thread also! I will be at tonight's show in Seattle if you message me so I will get back to you after the show or in the morning.
