Loads of excitement in my neck of the woods hearing that Sir Elton will play the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville N.C. on March 11. He played there before, in 2000. Seems like Crown could draw many big acts like Elton since Ft. Bragg is located in Fayetteville, they could entertain the troops and support them and "give back." I wonder if Paul Mc. would ever entertain the thought of playing the Crown--I know he likes to "give back" and do good. I heard Crown might hold 14,000--it's probably almost 14,000 capacity. Wonder if that would be large enough an audience for Paul to consider. Wynonna Judd will play there next.

I don't live in Fayetteville but am based most of the time only about 70 miles away, and there's a huge uproar over the recent Elton John concert news online, on t.v. and in newspapers. Said at his 2000 Fayetteville show, cars were parked for miles in the parking lot and around the venue, and traffic jams in the city were a real pain with many unable to get to the concert in time. Crown Coliseum managers should have learned from that, and not booked mainly just big country music bands and country singers for concerts. I remember hearing about Sir Elton playing Asheville, N.C. which is not a major music concert market, I wonder where he played there. I don't know if there's a big arena in Asheville. It's nice when big stars play smaller more intimate venues.... The huge shows of course are tremendously exciting in their way.

I was blessed to see Sir Elton John and his Band 4 times in the past two years. Every time was spectacular! If anyone gets a chance to see him perform it is well worth the travel and money. That man gives it ALL in concert! There will never be another one like him.
