Global Wings' version of another Band On The Run classic! BLUEBIRD: http://rapidshare.com/files/310230417/Global_Wings__Audi___Gary__-_Bluebird__Bass-Gary_11-20-2009_.mp3.html Audi: acoustic guitars, vocals Gary: bass guitar, mastering, miracle-worker We took some liberties here n' there; my lead-vocal is Take 1 and is -- well, imperfect -- but I think you'll like this one!
It's gone...
Here it is again.... http://rapidshare.com/files/311448195/Audi___Gary__-_Bluebird__Bass-Gary_11-20-2009_.mp3 Audi, I can remove this from my RS account any time you want, just say the word.
Thanks Evie! Audi & Gary, great stuff!

No none happens to have a cover of John Farnham's You're The Voice sitting on their hard drives, have you? Just...don't ask, haha. But that song is so stuck in my head now and I'm listening to it way more than I probably should.
I started a track long time ago, never did more than just start it, lost interest in it after a while, that happens quite often ...the song was major hit here in 1987...

Very nice sounding stuff, no mistakes heard... The piano that is missing perhaps!??

what a lovely, delicate, deeply felt rendering of 'bluebird', audi (love that song ) which i noticed clocked in at precisely '3:33' (333 the hindu number for 'god') which makes it even more special george harrison would say that too y'all sound so sensitive on this 'bluebird' it gives ya the shivers (in a good way)... i'm gonna hear the other songs others placed here too, just give me a mo. my old puter gets a little goofy on this endeavor & it takes a little while but i'll get to hear 'em

those vocals are not very easy Farham live in the past
and this is now with Coldplay as a great backing band he has virtually the same voice as the waiter-singer of the karaoke that has become my friend, and duets buddy... he would do it virtually the same... -
Seriously, who'd have thought this Paul song I was recording would turn out to be soooo difficult? : I keep replacing vocals everywhere....my Audacity screen already looks like this! And I'm not completely satisfied with it (when am I ever? :lol....but I'll probably post it tonight anyway!

Okay, going to quickly post it before I change my mind, because the more I listen to it, the less I like it. I am painfully aware of all that is wrong with it (struggling with low notes, playing mistakes, some timing and pitch issues, my solo that I thought about playing guitar on, but ended up singing because I couldn't be bothered anymore, and it being magically (cough) cut short, ...) but oh well... Like I said, I can't be bothered anymore, what a nightmare of a song! [Hope of Deliverance[/size">](http://rapidshare.com/files/317596840/Hope_Of_Deliverance.mp3]<span style=) (click to download/play) 2 more days until I see the man in the flesh again!!!

I heard some producer saying he "built" a recording using 30 different tracks from a singer.... so you still got room... it was about a very famous band in Spain. here's David Archuleta doing You're the voice, live... so one take... he sort of tries... they low down the key 5 semitones... anyway his voice breaks... and he's a good singer... it's very dificult... at least in one take or live... Farham himself can not do it like before

I'm never completely satisfied with anything I've recorded, and I know I'll never be... you know, and I try and I try and I can't get no... they say... there are not finished art pieces, just abandoned ones

I don't like David Archuleta's version ops: ops: ops: ...but Kevin Borg's version (from Swedish Idol) is much better!

the problem when you deal with Paul vocals are the way he sings most of the time "stacatto" notes sung suddenly like jumping briskly from note to note not with curves (Freddie Mercury did virtually always big curves, "legato") maybe no-one cares about these things I write about vocals Bjorn sure knows about all this. That's why it's so hard to sing... Long Tall Sally, for instance, like Paul cause he's like a hammer, "stacatto" a "staca" it's a Stake... People like Elvis Presley couldn't do staccato like Paul either... so well... don't carry the world about your shoulder! Elvis-Hey Jude

yes, it's not a song for David Archuleta (or should I say David Archuleta is not a singer for this song) I like Borg's version, lowing it 2 semitones... he sings the notes... the challenge is to sing that also with feeling like Farham... not so cold... Let's make a deal, if you try to do Mary Hopkin's Those were the days, I'll try You're the voice (maybe without feeling... :lol. I only don't know what key to use, original or one key higher... but forget about that strange percussion all over the song...
-
btw... here's my fav singer (he's a singer-songwriter really) from the Spanish Idol thing (the original show for worse or for better) he got to me before starting to sing when I knew he choosed The Show Must Go On for his first performance
at another show, Don't Stop Me Now he also did Suspicious Minds, people at these shows doesn't ever tries this songs... -

One day...I will post one more S&G song soon (it's already finished) and then I am going to stop recording for a while...I need to go look for a job AND finish my dissertation...no more playing for me for a while!

well, I search for a job in Spain, but virtually there's none available now... 40 % of people of my age are unemployed, so I've got time to lose...
