Digging in the wault I found this track, and it something I think most people here hasn't heard we did this almost 5 years ago...and those links has been dead or removed..so thought I'd repost it! Very nice early Global Wings track, a version of an unreleased McCartney song! LINDIANA - Bjorn & Gary http://rapidshare.com/files/430207276/Lindiana_-_Bjorn_and_Gary_-_Global_Wings.mp3 (It is a fast download link, you don't need an account to download this song!) Enjoy!
so you've made a duet out of the song, great, I like the idea!
I have three or four solo remixes too...so much on my drive!
how many GB??? and I already feel I'm using too much disk space

Hi guys, I'm Björn's friend! Some of you don't know me, some do. I was a regular here some time ago, and I felt like visiting this thread after all this time. Great to hear about this Band On The Run competition, which made me stick my ukulele out and having a go at it. I will hardly get one vote, but who cares!
As a veggie, it's also great to read about Meat Free Monday, which I didn't know about. Not sure I will get the inspiration to write something especially for it, but still it's a great idea. Take care everybody, and see you!Fil, that almost sounded like an introduction at a AA meeting!! So, doing Uke versions, maybe you should do a medley of the whole album as you did with The White album once!! That was really, really impressive!! And you're the music machine as always, unstoppable, and doing peculiar arrangements!! Great BOTR version!
Revolution 9 too?
Don't remember, but all the songs was in it!! Have to dig in my waults to listen and find out!
I sometimes have thought of doing similar things with the piano, but I've thought "who the heck is gonna listen to this?", one or two if ever...
Well, why don't you, it would be a challenge!! BTW, I found Fil's 20 min medley, AND it was a part of Revolution no 9 in that for sure!! It was not Uke BTW, it was acoustic guitar, but VERY impressive!!
I don't do it because of that, I don't think no-one would listen to it. A... 30 minute piano recording.... , not even myself...
You could make a video!!
...and who's gonna watch a video of a 30 minute Beatle piano medley? 2 or 3 and not even me.

I think that would be a much better time to spend watching than lots of stuff on youtube!

well, you'd be one of those 2 or 3 people... but that's all, you know... let's see how my Instant Covers thing turn out. Instant Cover is a better name, there are not really instant but those were not really impossible. It's about recording covers of songs that are very new, the newer the better.

Wow...blown away "Lindiana" was covered and so well, I like that song very much -- thanks for sharing yours and Gary's lovely very pleasing version, Bjorn (Oliver, I know I still got a song of yours and Audi's to hear on another thread & I'll get to it) Uh Oh, I meant "I still have" a song of yours and audi's to hear, so sorry)
-
my first Instant Cover would have to wait till tomorrow cause I'm caught in a tongue-in-cheek, I must get familiar with the lyrics.

I'm with Susy...THAT was a stellar performance, Bjorn....very moving, and so suited to your voice and style, and wow, such a beautiful tune !(never heard it before)...reminded me of when I first heard your version of PRETTY LITTLE HEAD...simply stunning!

I think you Bjorn missed this. And now has become kind of strange favourite of us. We like now what we didn't like so much a year before. So if this is gonna be your listen, you should listen to this again in Nov 2011 and then you'll like it. : : : www.oliversanz.com/bewhatyousee.mp3
I did hear that, and it is really cool!! It reminds me of the EARLY version we did of Pretty Little Head...not the Youtube version...
I can't imagine ANYTHING being better than that youtube version. One of the best cover songs i've ever heard.

well, it's a bit a "hit of the moment" 43 listens this week, it's near the 47 of Golden Earth Girl. Though some should not count cause it's me wanting to hear again 1.08 another option is posting the uncompressed vocals version of this... the final scream is compressed here thrice.
-
this is the We Are The World video/recording for Haiti in 2010
they ask for versions of the song at the end, so here's yet another option... I used to sing solo this in some karaoke, and it was funny, but difficult... especially the part where Springsteen and Stevie Wonder answer each other... : -
Instant Cover #1, not so instant... this is 3 months old or so... but that's a start!, newer than Blue Moon of Kentucky Just The Way You Are, not Billy Joel's classic but Bruno Mars

Glad to see some more movement on this thread!!

I'm gonna cause it, I think.... I was checking now the US and UK single charts to search something to sing... I've seen a lot of rap tunes... I've looked at the UK charts of this week....

I should be embarrassed because of my confusion. It is kind of "Paul McCartney - Scissor Sisters" "so Paul has a new hit... strange name for a song..." That's kind of like old disco music, it's cool. But not what I'm searching for...

I've just realized I have uploaded to youtube 4 videos in a week. All of them without video... but If I wait to the video problem to be solved... :
