Really? Paul encouraged to send in an original song, with the original recipe? I need to watch that vid again...I can't think of an original veggie dish, I just think "yellow squash onion cheese casserole" when I try to come up with one, and that's hardly a novelty.
-
I didn't hear Paul Mc. say anything about sending in a song too, Oliver when I just played that vid on the home page, about the veggie dish contest. Were you hearing things? Your ears played a trick on you?

I don't think he said that, it might be only in my mind. Or maybe he had a flashback and confused what people must send this time. Well, I don't understand the end of the message but I see there's no talk anywhere of a song with the recipe or so... You don't expect me to send a recipe? do you? not me this time, it's got to be someone with kitchen talent.

00.39 at the video "we know you're great, we know you're creative, so come on, send it in, "turnonasongwithyourideas"? or is it "turns us on with your ideas" ok "us on" not "a song". Paul... "I'd love to tuu-u-u-u-u-u-u-rn youououououou o-o-o-o-on" but I don't think it would taste good or be healthy. It would be creative, thought. funny that I sometimes call recording and mixing/producing: "cooking", because it's a bit "a little bit of this, but not too much""what about some salt/reverb?" hmmmm....

You got me excited about that for nothing, Oliver!! But that's okay, I realize English isn't your first language Looks like they're giving a dynamite state of the art stove as a prize! Hey, not too shabby! Maybe this cooking contest is only for the U.K.--would cost a pretty penny to ship that stuff overseas. (?)

English is my 3rd language. I don't know if it's only for UK, I thought that about the Meat Free Monday song contest but it wasn't. There are some dishes already in the website, they make me want to try to cook them.

Well, this is cool, friends... ...I sat in with some guys -- and a very cool chick -- playing an impromptu show at a Nashville restaurant/venue last week. They asked me to play bass and sing. I wish I had recorded all of it, but here's a portion of our set: THE EASTLAND CAFE BELATED X-MAS PARTY BOOTLEG CD: http://www.mediafire.com/?6251zbh9bqbto4a And we had zero rehearsal, so everything's "in the moment." Plus, this recording does not do the night justice. We sounded great, and the crowd was great. The first song is an original, written by one of the guitarists. I didn't know his song, but I kept up OK on bass. After that they asked me to do a couple of Beatles tunes...and so on. The music starts at 01:54 -- prior to that is chatter while we were tuning up, etc. I start singing at 06:20 ("I Saw Her Standing There") -- I was so nervous, resulting in less than perfect vocals. Nonetheles, having to play bass and sing lead at the same... ...it was very hard to resist pretending I was Paul McCartney. This has a very Cavern Club vibe about it. : ) -Audi: bass/vocals -Kevin (my buddy): drums -Judd: guitar -2nd guitarist (?) -Dana: vocals

Very well done, Bjorn, that was delightful! A sensitive yet lively, spirited rendition of a George Harrison composed minor masterpiece, really cheered me up, a wonderful surprise! I hope Claudia sees this, looks like she was in here earlier, might still be. She teaches guitar, too. (Hope you saw your Donald Duck cartoons this Christmas, Bjorn! ) I haven't heard audi's yet, didn't have time to upload it right then. I'm sure it's real good, too Please put up more of yours, Bjorn, it warms the heart and does a body good on a cold Sunday. You're very talented. Also audi and Oliver (21st century Paul). This was your vid but I didn't wish to leave them out. They've contributed a lot, too, like you. But we don't see enough of you By the way, smashing (and cute) hair style, man Those specs look cool too. Not really nerdy, not on you, anyway! Good show, Luv

What a review, really glad you liked it Lucy! I DID see the Disney cartoons on Christmas eve I did, a tradition every year! Since I got this incredible guitar, I've been playing constantly, so might record something for ya soon again! It is like an instrument made by angels, plays all by itself, so it makes my part so much easier!

I forgot to remark on that gorgeous new guitar, it's a corker! both in appearance and sound. Glad it's inspiring you to do more music

Thanks, sir. I might've caught the energy -- too bad I didn't catch more of the right notes.

I don't have time for listening to it now. Well, If it's the first of the second time you sing live with an audience, you just got to be nervous and vocals got to be far from perfect... Well, you know Elvis. The firsttime he sung live he was so horrible that some in the audience advised him to retire and only drive trucks, he was the worst of the night. And the second time was kind of the same. As Metallica sing "Never care for what they say..."

You know what, at the start of the video I heard the guitar riff and saw you playing chords and I didn't understand a thing... It's a multi-track recording but Susy, I haven't played a thing here. Some say that one must start with a cheap, bad instrument when learning to play... but when you buy some real good one you realize that "It plays by itself". An Strato plays by itself but at first you wonder if you could play it or not... well... Great, as always.
