Bob Gannon:
yeah King, Our area won't be thrilled this year. Wouldn't hold my breath for the Baseball All Star Game . I know Uruguay was announced late, but kind of surprised the next one hasn't been done yet...probably early next week at this point....just goes to show you...even the promotors don't know for sure when those announcements are coming.
So nothing close to us... Oh well, I'll see Billy Joel again! I'm sure Paul will make his way over in 2015 back up by us.

Billy Joel is fantastic, I love his music! He played Albuquerque once in 1979. I wish McCartney would play Albuquerque once.

And all I have to do is take the train 40 mins to MSG... I can see him every month now!

Ha Ha! So true! A residency at MSG is pretty cool!

I was getting excited about the possibility until I learned that it is to be a free concert, which makes me less confident.
Minnesota Twins President Dave St. Peter told the Minnesota Daily on Wednesday that University facilities are being considered for All-Star week events, potentially including a free public concert at TCF Bank Stadium. He said a decision will be made this month, with an official announcement in April.

Is this the iconic place you were talking about that's not in the U.S.?
-
I hope Paul changes the concert openings on his next tour dates. As classy as it is and understandably there's nobody else who can pull off a like he does. The walk on stroll out on stage is becoming flat, it's time for a proper concert built up. A big band intro with light's, images & Paul. Rock Show! I can't be the only one who feels like that.

Paul's shows are a well-oiled machine. Minor changes here and there, but not much. I doubt we will see a radical change in how the show starts or how he enters the staging area. Maybe.

no, this is not the iconic place not in the US that I was talking about. This is just a brand new rumor I heard today. I really have zero belief in it, but have been wrong before....I just can't see where they would do it there. No the iconic venue has to do with the next set of announcements for the leg folling South America

Sounds exciting!!

Hi Bob, Regarding the iconic non-USA venue, have you heard any details like the potential number of nights or approximate dates? Cheers, Andrew.
-
Why don't we just start saying Budokan instead of "iconic non-US" venue? It's not exactly inside information at this point! Also...the UK says hello Paul. The money might not be as good but peradventure you might play even a few small venues for us?

haha, ok- Budokan has one night only, but I'm sure, a second will be added, the problem is that Paul will be playing not only Budokan in Tokyo, so... maybe 2 shows anywhere else (Bigggggg Ones), and only one Budokan, or two and two (same city); plus a few more he has booked (according to "rumors" as this thread) in Asia. Promoter is looking for the same places because of... $$ and not booking Europe and some other countries, because there, people don't pay as high as others, it's very simple, Paul is playing were the promoter says and suggest, period.
-
So, rumors so far are Candlestick Park, even though Paul played San Francisco last year. Budokan in Tokyo, even though he played Tokyo four months ago. And Brazil in the Fall, even though he played Brazil last year. What's going on??

Whatever. I am just not excited about these rumors so far. That's cool. Maybe the next round will yield some excitement.

Yeah, but as you pointed out, NJ is about hour from other major hot spots where McCartney will likely play and has played many times. Albuquerque is about 8 hours away from the closest places he plays, meaning Denver and Phoenix. But yes, NM's economy is BS!

Stop your bitching guys, I'm speding a fortune traveing to Uruguay by ferry and to Chile by plane to see the old man because he's not coming to my country. I don't complain, I take action!
