Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

Bob Gannon:
oh my, just looked at the photos....it looks really small!!!!! Don't get me wrong, when seeing Paul....the smaller the better!!. I've been lucky to see him a few times with under 500 people
It is a small-ish arena. And difficult for an act with huge staging. Under 500 would be cool!

Bob Gannon:
Hell, if it happens again I will buy you a drink!! Hoping that he returns to the "WINNING" tour pattern!! I love my Europe/UK shows at X-Mas time. Amazing time to be over there and love the people!! If you read this Paul....Bring back the X-Mas shows!!! But hell, if you'd rather do Sept, Oct or any other month for that fact...I'm ready
-
May have been wrong the last two holiday seasons but it's time to bring it back!!! Especially would love to see Paris, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona to name a few. No, I'm not starting a new rumor!!!! Just a personal wish list Although, speaking of rumors....anyone hear about Panama Canal and Great Wall of China....how the heck would they pull that off?

If he can play a canal and a wall, he can play a Pit!

I was under the impression the MGM Grand Arena had about 15,000 seats.
that's Foxwoods, not Mohegan and its a theatre, not an arena. Of note: MGM has recently severed ties with Foxwoods. And ur right Yankee 8156- he doesn't play arenas that small 'cept for one offs. XL Ctr (Htfd Civic Ctr)(15,600) or Rentschler would be the best choices here. Again, Why play a relatively small venue in CT when he has NYC and Boston within spitting distance? Makes no sense.
XL center is being renovated this year; work taking place from March to October. So I don't think a show there would be possible this summer. As for the Rent, football season for UConn starts at the end August and I don't know how soon they will be using the field, so if that was in the offing it would have to be early summer. Not that ANY of these two facilities have been rumored. Why play Mohegan Sun even if it is a smaller arena? As I said this is the venue all the A listers have been playing (bypassing XL center most of the time; some acts play both places) and the casino has deep pockets and can easily meet his guarantees. We will have to see if the rumor about Mo Sun pans out; only time will tell.

revisiting Lambeau field....how amazing would that be? I remember ESPN doing Packer highlights...The Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field!!! I put in my request for the new New Jersey football stadium and new arena which he has not done. Come on Paul....been 12 years since you visited the Garden State
YEAH! NJ, please! And we also have the Red Bulls Arena in Harrison, and the "Rock" Prudential Center in Newark, now. Both super-convenient to mass transit. Red Bulls holds about 25,000, the Rock about 20,000.

Red Bull Arena would be an awesome choice for an outdoor show. As would Prudential for Indoor.

I know Bob mentioned some indoor and some outdoor shows this summer...it seems the outdoor shows are heavily favored by Paul during the US summer months. I am sure alot of that has to due with the fact he probably makes 2 or 3 times as much for a stadium show than an arena show. For example, Paul's show at Miller Park last summer drew 44,000. Most arena shows are in the 17,000-20,000 range. So I would image we will probably see about 10-12 stadium shows this summer with a couple of arena shows sprinkled in.

Watch the official 2005 DVD and there are shots of Paul's tour trucks parking at University of New Mexico Stadium in Albuquerque, like they were putting on a show there. The Pit is across the street in those shots. ALL those desert shots are in Albuquerque and surrounding areas. That football stadium seats 39,000. Put another 6,000 on the field and Paul could play to 45,000 people in Albuquerque.

New Mexico's beautiful. Great place for a concert!

Does anyone know of any New York or New Jersey rumours for the U.S Shows??
-
New Jersey would a nice place to see him play really. I could see it being on the list. Man, I tell you I'm glad to know he's going to be playing near me according to Bob. I honestly hope the dates come sooner or later because I'll be on the road doing some musical performances this year so I'd like to work seeing Paul into my schedule. I know it'll never happen but I'd love to see Paul in Kentucky.. Rupp or Freedom Hall could be likely, (the "chicken place" is off the list).. Oh Well : Hey I may also try to see Ringo in Ohio too if the everything goes right, I really like the current All-Sarr Band.
-
Wish Sir Paul would come to Cleveland...hasn't been there since 2002 I believe?!
-
When are the other 2014 dates going to be announced? I guess around April 15, right?
-
Announcement has to be soon, you'd think
-
Don't know if this has been asked on the board...if you could see Paul live at any venue in the world...what would it be? And why?

University Stadium, Albuquerque NM USA. Why? Because I live here and Paul has never played here.
-
Prague, Czech Republic (Europe) Beacuse last time he's been there was in 2004

Original Cavern before Liverpool council decided it would be a good idea to fill it in. My Dad used to go down to the lunchtime sessions.
