Shows rarely sell out here on the day of sale. People tend to wait to buy concert tickets. The Rolling Stones sold 34,0000 tickets here in 1997 but I think there were still tickets available on the day of the show. McCartney sold between 27,000 and 30,000 here in 1993, depending on who you ask. But there were still tickets available the day of the show. Respectable numbers, but not good if your criteria is to sell out fast and maintain a certain "aura" about your shows.
Here in Buenos Aires Paul sold 100,000 tickets for 2 consecutive concerts at River Plate stadium in 2010 -both sold out- and even then he never returned to Argentina. I've seen him in Brazil (4 different cities), Uruguay and Paraguay as well in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and most of the concerts tood place in full 50k seats stadiums.
Wow. Well, that blows out my theory. Why not go back to Argentina?? I would love to go there!!
If you do come, I'll buy you a beer!

In previous years these April/May concerts were announced in late March, so it should not take much longer now.
-
Yeah, I suspect the South American dates will be announced within the next week or so. The shows are getting press in South America, so there is no secret to let out!

Carlos, do you think Paul skipping Brazil completely this year has anything to do with the world cup?

I believe that's one of the reasons. Another one would be the fact that he began his current world tour here last year with 3 concerts, so it makes sense that this year he wants other countries to see it. And as a bonus, the setlist will now include songs from his new album.

A company in Ecuador called "GM Logística & Eventos" says it will be an honor to work at Paul's upcoming concert in Quito at a stadium called "Liga Deportiva Universitaria" on April 28 at 9PM: https://www.facebook.com/458236177565635/photos/a.458247830897803.105694.458236177565635/619074368148481/?type=1&theater "CONFIRMADO Lunes 28 de Abril Estadio Liga Deportiva Universitaria 21h00 Sir. The Stones will be playing EU in June/July. Looks bad for Macca dates.

With South America shaping up, it looks to be a very interesting April, May and June after hearing from a couple of friends over seas with good sources. Looks to be a bit crazy!!

Nothing can top last year because I met Paul and he signed me an autograph!

Ooh, are there any further details you can tease? I'm going to Europe for a month this spring but have some flexibility as to exactly when, so I'm curious if any of the noise you're hearing has him playing there.

Yup, nothing can top that! Unless he invited you to party!

Can't say much but it is shaping up to be alot like last year in the crazy jumping around part in a short perior of time. As far as vacation in early summer, looks like it could be a good time for the UK but nothing specific. If the info is true, a surprise return trip somewhere is in the plans

Thanks for the info, you've got a private message. My bet is Mexico in May, after Costa Rica.
