Anny Rock:
Would Paul consider or be asked to play at the 70-th Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy this year??
"Pipes Of Peace" live would be fitting.

Yeah, good suggestion, 5th Beatle! Wouldn't it be great (Paul being a 2nd WW-baby), and then some American, French, Canadian,Australian ánd German musicians from pop to classical...in a wonderful peace-concert! Music unites people

Hola ve a nice trip, Carlos! Are you coming to Chile or Peru?
I hope so. The question is: will Paul go to those countries?
I hope so! I'd prefer Brazil because I like standing room shows instead of going crazy trying to get a good seat.

Be prepared for a much more reserved crowd, haha! Rumours are sounding good. Shame he will have rearranged his setlist and will leave out the exclusive songs once again, while dragging along 'Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da' and 'Here Today' for the umpteenth time to the same regions. 'Your Mother Should Know' is the new 'Letting Go', very frustrating.
However, there will be songs from his New album, and who knows what else? Maybe a surprise or two. By the way, I hope to meet you and others from this board somewhere!
Likewise! I hope 2014 would see the first full EU tour of McCartney since 2004.

Bet if he did that gig, he would break into 'Freedom'

Perhaps "Give Peace A Chance"?

I'm sure there will be at least a mini-tour of the UK and Europe a couple of months from now, as he wants to promote the new album. Maybe a week of rest and a then few a more shows before returning to the US and Canada.
-
I'm listening to a radio show from Mexico. According to the host, the next leg of the tour will begin in Santiago on April 21 in a closed arena (20,000 people), and once it sells out a second concert the following day will be announced.

Not trying to argue with you, but there is nothing to promote though. Apart from that McCartney never promotes new material, he certainly isn't going to do it with a few new songs in the setlist half year after the release. With McCartney's PR team, the end of an album cycle is on the day of the release...

I suppose it could be argued any tour now is to promote the album, but to say the least its a bit of a stretch to do so now this far after its release, for us who watch this sort of thing its looking like a normal batch of tour dates, when of course they are announced as they surely will be in due course.

Carlos, you should be very careful with the info from that kid. Not a reliable source. ALL his dates in the past have been wrong, close but wrong. Correct until we posted them on a mexican forum and then he "copy and paste" the info haha. So far, to be honest, only the promoters and MPL knows the exact dates, but a good source of mine is already booked to work at the stage montage for the OPENING of the Latin tour, and it's not Chile, but that was a week and a half ago, things could have changed.
-
I would love to hear "Alligator", "On My Way To Work", "I Can Bet", "Early Days" and "Turned Out" live. Hopefully at least one of these will be included in the setlist.

This is the thing with unofficial tour dates. That's exactly what happens, they get changed and then info is released too soon. I don't understand how "late May" for any UK dates is even possible with the SA possible tour. I'm just gonna wait and see what actually get announced but it interesting to see which rumours will stick.

I realize that hows are canceled, negotiations are unsuccessful and so on, but I find it fun discussing the rumours and keeping everyone updated on what is being talked about around the world. Trying to find new info is part of the excitement while we wait for the official word. Someday this will all be over and we will miss the days when it was still possible to discuss upcoming McCartney concerts. Meanwhile, here is a recap of the rumoured tour dates: Montevideo - April 19 Santiago - April 21 and 22 Lima - April 25 Quito - April 28 Heredia - May 01

Well said. And the title of this thread explicitly says "Rumors" so it is ok to discuss rumors here.

Yes, and apart from that, history proved 75% of the definitive info surrounding south-American concerts get leaked anyway, haha!

___________________________________________________ 5TH Beatle, I would think he would do at least 3 of them (Alligator, On My Way to Work, I Can Bet the most likely) plus the 4 other songs from New that he did in Japan. Hell, my wish is that he would do the whole album. Abe said the same thing on the "making of NEW special". Paul and Band did Alligator and On My Way to Work in one of the rehearals on the Japan tour. I think those 2 are almost a sure thing. I also think I Can Bet would be awesome live. New is such a great CD and so many of the songs are made to be done live. Such a great opportunity for our South American friends if these rumors are true.
