Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

marceloninni:
Has anyone heard anything about South California concerts (LA, Anaheim, San Diego)?
Dodger Stadium seems to be a good possibility.
-
*waits for LA show to be announced* I'm also considering the SF show but it's a bummer that it appears as if there isn't a fan pre-sale, just AmEx. We'll see what happens.
-
Praying for anything but Dodger Stadium.
-
Paul's Twitter feed just posted a "throwback Thursday" photo of him at the LA Forum. Might he be playing there instead???

Nothing better than a Macca vacation.
Sincere appreciation for the clues you provided on this board. They did lower the turmoil and made it significantly easier than years past to make plans for a US McCartney vacation. Now let's get ready to rock.
Glad they were helpful although cryptic at times!!!

Why? Not good for concerts?

I'm not even worried he won't bring the tour to Europe for a watered down five-date run - I can wait, had my fair share of shows in less than 3 years with a similar set anyway - but more worried he will have dropped the songs we were all longing for years, one is already down...
This! Why did he drop Your Mother Should Know!? Ridiculous.

still waiting for my iconic foreign venue to be announced.....I hear it may be this week or next but it doesn't look like it was cancelled as I had feared!

I'd be stoked if this happens, I haven't been to the new Forum yet but I've heard reports that the sound is really great.

The LA Forum was completely renovated last year, and when they did it, the owners did it especially with concerts in mind. The sound is supposed to be superb. It just reopened in January with the Eagles. It seems likely that this iconic arena may be where Paul plays in LA. Some of us geezers will remember seeing him with Wings there in 1976 (where he closed the US tour if memory serves)... And this throwback thursday pic may well be a clue! And I hear the catchphrase from the 70s is being used again which went something like, "Only at the FABULOUS Forum!"
-
Any rumors of a Denver show being added to the tour?
-
FS Pittsburgh SEC 105 Row B Aisle seat face value $201.65 doing three other shows on the tour reason for not going pm me thanks.

Looking forward to seeing what that is, and thanks for the clues. I still can't believe he's skipping so many huge markets on the east coast in this nostalgic Beatles year, but I suppose that means he's confident he'll be back next year.

This is the one positive I really take out of this tour....by not doing so many big markets, I really believe that he has all intentions on coming back out again!! No way he wouldn't do a farewell in NYC!! So much talk on fan sites about maybe Candlestick secretly being a last show to echo the Beatles but I didn't believe that nor do I believe that now!

Yup, a classic and historic venue and now newly renovated. All the major tours played there back in the day, and they're starting to again. I would not be disappointed if he played The Fabulous L.A. Forum!

Interesting article on The Beatles Dodger Stadium experience: How a summer night at Dodger Stadium turned 'nasty' for The Beatles and Bob Eubanks In 1966, The Beatles played Dodger Stadium ? and almost didn't get out alive http://www.vcstar.com/news/2011/aug/26/in-1966-the-beatles-played-dodger-stadium-151/
"Paul was the only one who tried to please."
The '66 Tour was a drag all the way around. Some of those big places weren't even sold out and by the time they hit Dodger Stadium and Candlestick Park, which were the last two shows they ever played in concert, they had it. They were done, even Paul.
