still waiting for my iconic foreign venue to be announced.....I hear it may be this week or next but it doesn't look like it was cancelled as I had feared!
Looking forward to seeing what that is, and thanks for the clues. I still can't believe he's skipping so many huge markets on the east coast in this nostalgic Beatles year, but I suppose that means he's confident he'll be back next year.

This is the one positive I really take out of this tour....by not doing so many big markets, I really believe that he has all intentions on coming back out again!! No way he wouldn't do a farewell in NYC!! So much talk on fan sites about maybe Candlestick secretly being a last show to echo the Beatles but I didn't believe that nor do I believe that now!

The LA Forum was completely renovated last year, and when they did it, the owners did it especially with concerts in mind. The sound is supposed to be superb. It just reopened in January with the Eagles. It seems likely that this iconic arena may be where Paul plays in LA. Some of us geezers will remember seeing him with Wings there in 1976 (where he closed the US tour if memory serves)... And this throwback thursday pic may well be a clue! And I hear the catchphrase from the 70s is being used again which went something like, "Only at the FABULOUS Forum!"
Yup, a classic and historic venue and now newly renovated. All the major tours played there back in the day, and they're starting to again. I would not be disappointed if he played The Fabulous L.A. Forum!

Interesting article on The Beatles Dodger Stadium experience: How a summer night at Dodger Stadium turned 'nasty' for The Beatles and Bob Eubanks In 1966, The Beatles played Dodger Stadium ? and almost didn't get out alive http://www.vcstar.com/news/2011/aug/26/in-1966-the-beatles-played-dodger-stadium-151/
"Paul was the only one who tried to please."
The '66 Tour was a drag all the way around. Some of those big places weren't even sold out and by the time they hit Dodger Stadium and Candlestick Park, which were the last two shows they ever played in concert, they had it. They were done, even Paul.

*waits for LA show to be announced* I'm also considering the SF show but it's a bummer that it appears as if there isn't a fan pre-sale, just AmEx. We'll see what happens.
I bet it will be on Weds. Apr. 30th. Keep looking for an email about it.

I know I am a broken record about those e-mails, but they often don't come on time, or at all. I NEVER expect them anymore. The best way to find out when a show is announced is right here on the Boards and the website home page! Just check in here daily.

Very true. I got my last email very late (wasn't getting any of those shows anyway) I'm on here every day, so nothing gets by me!

We have two fans in one house, and my Paul emails always arrive three hours after his!

Whether you need the email or not...it should come earlier so you can rest assured that you are on the list. The way the mixups have been happening, it's alwys nice to be sure.

Praying for anything but Dodger Stadium.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I didn't know Dodger Stadium still holds concerts. I can imagine how bad the acoustics will be, but whatever. I'm so excited!!!

Dodger Stadium holds concerts every now and then. I know Madonna played there a few years ago, and I remember seeing The Police there on their reunion tour in 2007. The sound is ok there, but I'm just so excited to see Paul again in my hometown!
-
It's better than nothing. At big venues, it doesn't feel the same as a place where you can get closer to the action, but I've got to take a special someone to that show, so I'll take it .

Paul has his own sound system. It doesn't matter where he plays, his sound crew will make it sound as good as possible. In the Ravine it should sound pretty good!

Dodger Stadium will probably be my one and only show and I know Paul will not disappoint. Never been to a stadium show as of yet of his, so it will be a new experience. I just love the idea its only a 2 hour drive so I can do a VIP ticket with no other costs (oh a tshirt probably. ) and not feel too bad about spending that kind of money...one more time.
