Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

thenightfish:
well so much for that rumour; lineup just announced - no Paul. Springsteen, Clapton, Phish, Christina Agulera, Arcade Fire, I forget who else.
Downer. With Springsteen and Clapton playing, I doubt Paul would be on that ticket. Those are big names! So is Paul, I just mean if he were going, it would have been announced. sigh... back to silence on the McCartney tour front.

Yes, altho JazzFest runs over 2 weekends, so there are several days available for multiple headliners.

Yes. I was hoping this was true because it would have given us an "early clue to the new direction" about live dates for the year.

How many people got this reference besides me?

Still no tour news. We're waiting!! Maybe after the Grammys.

It would be GREAT if after the Grammy's McCartney announced a new tour!

No rumors yet! I am holding out to see if Paul does any southwest USA shows.

Rumored to be playing South Korea and Caucasus

Rumored to be playing South Korea and Caucasus
And now here he is again, back in Japan. He is jiggling in his seat now. Some kind of internal alarm clock ? the siren call of showtime ? is ringing deep inside Sir Paul McCartney. I ask him about his plans for 2014. It seems that, as rumoured, he may well play the final show at Candlestick Park before it is knocked down to make way for (of course) a shopping mall. Barrie Marshall, who has to route his tour dates round McCartney?s child-custody routine with Mills, is off to South Korea on a fact-finding mission, while other new touring markets ? he mentions the Caucasus ? are on his horizon.

Thank you for the link, that's a really interesting and informative article.

South Korea maybe, but I don't believe the Caucasus. Because it ain't a country... But maybe they mean Georgia, Azerbeidjan or Armenia??? Seems unlikely to me as well...

It would be cool to see Paul playing all those far-out places. In fact how about a tour of Egypt, India, South Korea and China? That would be a real surprise.

I heard from someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone (confusing you yet? haha) high up in the tour booking for Macca who says, apparently, that Paul is planning UK shows in spring or early summer. I'm personally not going to take it as gospel because I'd hate to be disappointed again, but I really really really hope he's right. The source is apparently "very reliable". *shrug* We shall see, I suppose.

I think a tour of the UK is very likely this year, as he has mentioned that he wants to promote the new album in Europe.

I can't imagine him NOT touring in the U.S. as well as the U.K. Between the album and the Beatles nostalgia, it's an opportunity he can't pass up.

That's why I think he will tour Europe sometime between March and June, and the US in July/August.

Ringo is going to be in LA for his birthday (July 7th) this year....perhaps Paul will be involved in that again and it can once more lead clues as to where Paul's personal touring may occur.

Wix, I think Paul's attending the Ringo show in 2010 was unique in that it was a "landmark" (70th) birthday event.

Yeah, we'll have to wait for Ringo's 75th for Paul to show up again!
