Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

Kimsey:
I do hope not. Paul was in Japan last November and he wanted to go back there too soon. What about Europe? He should reschedule his Asian concerts next year along with a long-awaited Australia/New Zealand tour.
Another option would be to tour Asia in november and Europe in december.

Paul needs to rest too.

I hope he eventually reschedules the S. Korea concert since has never played there before and the gig in May was supposed to be the first (and probably only) one. Unfortunately there is no way he would go all the way to East Asia just to perform in Korea without doing Japan as well. Personally, I don't really think there will be more concerts this year than the ones that have been announced (with the possible exception of some SA gigs in November).
-
What makes everyone think those shows are being rescheduled? He never said anything to elude to this at the time of their cancellation. When the US shows were cancelled, they were IMMEDIATELY rescheduled. I think those Asian Shows are goners.
-
When the shows were cancelled Paul's people released statements that certainly implied that he wanted to reschedule the shows. It's possible that he didn't really mean it, but he did say that he would try to make up for it, so it would be nice if he went back there before scheduling another tour somewhere else.
A spokesperson for Paul McCartney said: Paul McCartney will regrettably have to cancel the remaining Japanese shows. Paul is still not feeling better and this cancelation is unavoidable. He was hoping to be better but the doctors have ordered him complete rest. Paul has been extremely moved by the messages from his fans and is upset to be letting them down. All possibilities to find a solution to reschedule these shows as soon as possible are being explored.
Paul has instructed his team to look at rescheduling options
Seoul-based Hyundai Card Co. Ltd. issued a statement Wednesday citing McCartney as saying he's "sorry to be letting fans down," and that he hopes to visit South Korea soon.

I have to agree with Wix it looks like Japan and South Korea are off the books for now. The first leg of the US tour was immediately rescheduled for October. Why not put those Japan and S. Korea shows in September? My guess is 2015, if ever.
-
I don't know if they are off the books yet...I didn't get a "no" when asked....just told that they would be made up and that November would be a busy month...could mean alot of things! Will be interesting next few months and UK shows are not written off yet...
-
I believe they mean to rechedule Japan and Korea but with rumors of possibly Australia (mind you...totally unconfirmed) it would make more sense to do them all at once logistically. Plus, no reason to even panic yet..November is said to be busy month so they might fit in there. South America is also totally unconfirmed. Remeber, according to them, Paul was playing the World Cup! Bottom line.....it could be anywhere at this point
-
Well, at least we now know that there will be McCartney shows somewhere in the world in november, since it will be a busy month. My bet is that leg will begin on november 15.

He could be busy with other things too!

As long as he's busy close to where I am, he can do anything he wants to!

I don't think so since the conversation was touring and the end of the year
-
and if there is a chance at UK/Dec...I would think it may be over by Nov 15th or so to give band and crew a slight break

That's how I interpreted your post: busy touring.

Wow, I think you may be right! I just had another look at his touring schedule and found a pattern that I had not noticed before. It's possible he will actually do shows from november 8 during 5-7 days, take the rest of the month off and get back on the road in december. Thanks!

actally 5th Beatles...incomplete thought , almost sounds nasty on read back. Not my intention. What I meant to say was not that it was the topic of conversation in this thread but in the realm of a conversation I had with a few people who would know much better than us

I know, that's how I read it: you were talking about a conversation with insiders who mentioned that november will be a busy month for Paul, tour-wise. Nothing nasty at all.

ok, cool...when I went back and read it...seemed like an incomplete thought and almost not nicely answered. Happy I misread it, and I'm the darn guy who wrote it!

Sure, no problem. Now we'll have to wait and see where he will be in november. Asia would make sense, as he seems determined to do the canceled shows.

One of my friends is getting married in late November. I've already told him I will not attend the wedding if Paul comes to SA

The same thing was basically said when he cancelled his Melbourne show in 2002. Twelve years later we're still waiting.......
