why not? Texas Tech is there - they have a football stadium and a basketball arena so large enough venues for Paul...

I'll tell you why not. Because Albuquerque would be better! IF Lubbock were to be a stop on McCartney's tour, good for them.

Rob, as I'm sure you remember, Lubbock was a victim of the dreaded "re-routing" that occurred last year. Not trying to get your hopes up but just saying.

How can I forget? It was Barbara Hubbard of Las Cruces, NM, the promoter of Paul's 1993 show in Las Cruces, who was involved at first trying to negotiate an arena show in Las Cruces at the Pan Am Center, and an arena show in Lubbock at United Spirit Arena. Each show would have generated $1 million each, and I believe Pau's management told Hubbard the cost was $2 million per show. Hubbard then tried to negotiate one show at the 30,000 seat Aggie Memorial Stadium in Las Cruces, but was then told the tour was re-routed, and the show as put in Memphis. And that was that.

silly people!! off topic....with the Japanese TV special being remastered by Giles Martin, does this mean that instead of the next Archive installment that we will be getting another live tour album????

I wouldn't mind a DVD of that Japan show!

Oops, I forgot about Lubbock being part of that deal. ops: So back to the original clue - hmmm - Google -- ...there is another idea that is super-obscure, but it fits in with a rumour I heard many months ago. Move the location farther east....? and yes a Japan live release would be lovely, esp. if the NEW songs are part of it.

I'm expecting an expanded version of the "New" CD, with a DVD, and a bonus CD. Sound reasonable?

PLEASE. OH. GOD. NO. UNLESS...it omitted LMRI, All My Loving, Let It Be, Hey Jude, Lond and Winding Road, ... all the usual suspects. Be nice to have a live collection of things like LTWTMS, Lovely Rita, All Together Now, Another Day, and some stuff from recent past tours: Letting Go, V&M Rockshow, Come and Get It, I Will, Juniors Farm, Mull, Wonderful Christmastime, The Word...etc And especially You Won't See Me from 04, which was dragged out, given the kiss of life and never heard from again. She's a Woman: another one. We really don't need any more live versions of Let It Be, Hey Jude etc etc etc... And re: concert DVD's, it'll be Tokyo 13, Quebec 08, Paris 07 etc that I'll keep playing at home. The official MPL concert DVD's are a dog's breakfast.

silly people!!
You're the one who's silly, giving out all these "clues" and then not responding! I repeat, wtf is your "Lawrence & Ella" clue? I said Lawrence Welk & Ella Fitzgerald and you totally ignored me.

Agree. Add in Madrid 05? A friend put Tokyo 13 together on 2 DVDs for me & it looks great!

If you hear anything definite let me know, I would like to get my hands on a copy!

I wonder why no more shows have been announced yet. Maybe they're waiting until the negotiations for all concerts are finalized, so that they can announce them all in the same week?

GENYC did go Gold, but it didn't sell anywhere near Back In The US and T_he Space Within US_. And I think there's a reason for that. I'll add that the minimal interest in that older thread, about whether or not Paul should release his Bonnaroo set on DVD (which was obviously started by an MPL peep), spoke volumes.

It would be nice if they announced them all on the same DAY, instead of one...at...a....time... :
