anybody tried the http://www.idealcopy.com/ before? i ordered definitely maybe in vinyl there. i hope it's not a rip-off..
I have not used that site skelter, but you've piqued my interest. I'll definitely check that out! Definitely definitely, not definitely maybe man, that would be a great record to get on vinyl, would love to hear it. let us know how it is, and also curious if its gatefold. I would like to find the original vinyl, I assume it had an original vinyl release : I found an original 12" All Around The World and picked it up for $5 not too long ago. thats my only Oasis vinyl. I like Noels songwriting. It has two other tracks on it I had never heard. The Fame, and Flashbax I think. and yes, this just in.. vinyl still rox. though I've been on vinyl hiatus. need to get back to it! the last record I really listened to was The World Is A Ghetto, by War (formerly Eric Burdon & War). that album is a serious coming out party for that band, it blows me away. highly recommended.
-
turned out, it's not available anymore. that's the only oasis studio album i don't have on vinyl

I absolutely LOVE vinyl. I've been collecting for a few years now. My wife and I have about 1400 albums and 3000 45s between us. It's addicting. I have about 3 or 4 record players too. I'm getting a jukebox just as soon as we get a bigger house.

That juke box is a cool idea vidgamer! and you guys are way into the 45's also, huh? do most of yours have their original sleeves? I have only a few 45's; Lennon Stand By Me/Move Over Ms L (which has the sweet plain black Apple sleeve), Macca Goodnight Tonight/Daytime Nighttime Suffer, Coming Up, Nirvana Sliver/Dive.. a couple others. I'm still working on LPs

A lot of them do. I got most of my 45s though from a lady that was getting rid of her husbands stuff. She just GAVE about 2000 to me. Including a whole ziploc bag of Elvis 45s.

ah that is the way to do it right there my friend. those Elvis 45s gotta be classics

Gotta say, though, there are some duplicates. But that just gives me a head start on the record shop I wanna open someday. Although whenever I buy in bulk, I find so many wonderful albums I may never be able to part with enough to have a shop.... ops:
-
Thats a great point vidgamer, I would need at least 2 copies of all mine to open a record shop cause I'd never want to part with any of them I give the shop owners of the world a lot of credit, don't know how they do it. So okay people, its starting to get ridiculous!!! The amount of sweet vinyl one man can acquire at such low cost these days!! Here?s today?s take for $22: Adrian Belew, Mr Music Head (thanks for the recommendation from audi) Blind Faith, 1969 Elton John, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (thanks for the recomm. from Macsback) Michael Jackson, Thriller Rolling Stones, Goats Head Soup (my 2nd copy but I love that album and I'm sure will make someone I know happy when I give it to them.., didn?t have the sick goats head soup insert though? ) Nilsson, Remember 7" Nilsson, Without You 7" Ringo, Only You 7" Bad Finger, No Matter What 7"

Went to Amobea Records in Hollywood today and started my record collection! I bought a copy of Trust by Elvis Costello and a 7" U2 single Where the Streets Have No Name. I almost have enough money now to buy a record player, so I'm very excited now that I will have something to play when I get it!

Nice ARC! I'm psyched to hear of what vinyl you pick up, real time as it happens! keep us posted. vinyl is so fun to collect and listen too. I'm hooked. this Christmas my mom of all people got me the KNNILLSSONN vinyl, Nilsson's 1977 album. She knows of my fascination and its like my fav gift of the year! next to my new 60 INCH freaking PLASMA!! which I watch and love anyway.. happy vinyl hunting ARC. I'd like to pick up something by Elvis Costello as well. May look into that. I'd like to find a copy of Flowers in the Dirt.. that would suffice for me!

Well yesterday wasn't enough. I went to a small record shop by my house and bought near mint copies of Blood and Chocolate by EC and Wide Awake in America by U2 with the $7 I had left. But the surprise was my that my 8 year old brother bought 3. Count them 3 records. The Beatles Blue Album and The White Album! Plus 15 Big Ones by The Beach Boys. Needless to say my mom wasn't to happy.

Kapoo What did you think of Yellow Brick Road? Has anyone got Alice Coopers "Billion Dollar Babies" with the fake Billion dollar bill inside?

Yo Macs, sorry didn?t see your question here, I dug Yellow Brick Road but have only played the first disc, haven?t even gotten to his ?Sweet Painted Lady? first time listening, some great songs. Me listening to Elton John though, is a bit like Dave Matthews. Not often something I?m thinking to listen to, but both are just so undeniably good at what they do. Even on the less catchy stuff they?re really musical. But this is not why I called I stopped by to buy some vinyl this morning, picked up the following GEMS for $20! Yaz (it does say that name rather than Yazoo on the vinyl!), Upstairs at Eric?s! Audi, I totally just bought this on Rod?s recommendation and your guys cover of Situation, which is on this record! I was so pumped, can?t wait to play it. Lou Rawls, Live (double album of pimp tunes ) Dire Straights, Brothers In Arms (they were giving it away) Barry White, Greatest Hits 1982 (whats with me and pimp music today?) Elvis, That?s The Way It Is (now I have both Elvis and Nilsson albums titled ?That?s The Way It Is. Both on RCA too.) Beach Boys, Best of (old school Capitol vinyl from the 70?s I?m guessing.. great shape!, all the old hits. Brian Wilson school of Pop in the house) Jay Z, BluePrint 2 (this is a 4-disk album!! However due to a pressing error it shipped with two Disk 1?s, along with 3 and 4. So they were giving it away!! and since I love JayZ it was a no brainer.) The Animals, Before We Were So Rudely Interrupted (sweet condition) Crowded House, Crowded House (LazyD inspiration ) And because I seriously can?t help myself? Nilsson Schmilsson again. But this one was open and used lightly, but cover mint and still in shrink (with cool little blue ?Contains the Hit Song Without You? sticker on it), with the Poster inside! Plus they were giving it away!! ) Seriously $20. Anyone who?s a fan of vinyl, seriously make a trip out to Addison IL, just outside Chicago. Oobu, you should totally go there! You find gems for dirt cheap all the time there. Macs, also I do not have Billion Dollar Babies. I actually really want to get that and have had the opportunity but the ones I've seen are always in horrible shape. I'm holding out for a good one, and will pay a little more. that cover is so cool looking, green leather looking. like a snakeskin wallet, is that the idea? I'll get that eventually, I believe my place has a beat up copy now. the only Alice Cooper I own is the 1973 Greatest Hits album, which I bought to complete my own personal 1973-1974 Hollywood Vampires albums series (Ringo - Ringo, Vienna), Lennon (Mind Games, RnR, W&B), Nilsson (To0uch of Schmil in the NIght, Pussy Cats, Son of Drac), Alice (Greatest hits), Moon (2 sides of the Moon)). though Moon's came out in 75.. and I held of cause I believe BDB came out in 72. I was all about 73-74. Macca = RRS, BOTR, McGear, Nashville Sessions George = Living in Material World, Dark Horse. but those guys weren't Vampires Paul was in my mind George was a HareKrishna Vampire

I mean does it come accross how into vinyl I am, and how excited I am after I pick up new albums! I end up writing books here! Yes $20 man! I was all over the $3 and $5 boxes, and today was half off everything in those boxes, cause they just got 3 new collections that they are pricing and putting out, so its a bit of clearancing.. but they do that all the time! its such value, for great music.

Of course it shows how excited you are when it comes to vinyl, i'm the same, i still get a lot of pleasure looking at every detail on the covers etc the 70's were a great period for added extras when you bought a album, posters and booklets were often inserted.
