Has anyone seen Smokey Robinson lately? He's coming to town in January, sounds pretty good on youtube still, but anyone with first hand experience would be nice
-
Can he even move his lips anymore these days? He looked uber-Botox'ed-out the last time I saw him.

Yes, I'm fairly certain his face moved in the video!

Probably some PIXAR magic to make him look like his face still has moving muscles.

On my horizon: James McCartney Morissey The Who Sadly, and I'm being serious here, the concert I was going to take my disco-loving mother too, The Village People, got cancelled... I was looking forward to some YMCA-lovin'!

Oh no! Iwas quite anxious to hear about that! And sadly, it seems I'll be missing The Who's Quadrophenia Tour They're in town on a Tuesday night, but I'd have to take the metro into DC on a week night, find someone else that is willing and able to do it, reschedule praise band rehearsal, rush home school, wipe out the homework, then wake up at 5:55 and go to school the next morning. They'll be in Atlantic City two days after my birthday, on a friday night. BUT the show is at 7:30 and we'd never make it there by then on a Friday night.

So, so true. I hope I don't sound like a whiney kid not getting his toy or something! I am BEYOND thankful for all the stellar concert experiences this year, so missing one tour...isn't THAT big a deal...unless it's Paul...then we've got a problem.

I can add another Atlantic City show to my list! My Grandparents were given 4 tickets by the casino to see Buddy Guy at Harrah's! So while my concert year starts to wind down...I've got... Sept. 8th- Buddy Guy- Harrah's, Atlantic City Sept. 22nd- Ray Manzarek/ Robby Krieger- Borgata, Atlantic City They aren't concerts but, I've got tickets for Wicked on 10/21, and Hairspray on 1/26 with John Waters narating and MICKEY DOLENZ as Wilbur Turnblad!
We saw Buddy Guy open for Tom Petty. He was awesome.

I didn't know either were touring this year, anywhere for that matter!
-
UK. Are you familiar with Adam Ant?
-
might be seeing adam ant next month

Yeah...and I'd still opt with Van Morrison. Although, he did come around here about 4 years ago (the last I heard of him touring at all) and it was ridiculously expensive...I did not go, as you can tell.
