Adam Yauch of The Beastie Boys Dies

Beastie Boy Adam Yauch, 47, has passed away after a battle with cancer. The Beastie Boys were one of the first white rap/hip hop bands of the 80's, or were the first.

I was really shocked and saddened to hear the news of this young guy, a hilariously talented punk/rap artist, MCA! sick enough to literally pass away at the age of 47! damn, only the good die young. Thoughts for his family and friends. and great job with the Beasties yo.

Dang thats an awesome jam, great clip to see in the morning! I need to get that vinyl, Paul's Boutique. MCA I feel bad about. Thats a whole lot of fun that died off right there. I mean look at that clip you just posted! the keyboard player was basically just dancing and partying, pointing at the crowd bumpin.
those guys were just having more fun than anyone else

I admit it eluded me at first, but looked it up and its Sly Stone, and I thought, of course! and I must say its a sly sample indeed
and I knew I was hearing other samples so looked around and found this site, check it out! We're hearing quite a few samples on that track. funny how the site actually lists all the lyrical references in it. I never caught the AC/DC tune one!
