I'll be at Consul as well but will have to be in early for soundcheck. I don't usually do the whole limo watch thing. Much ado about nothing in my opinion. Stand out there in the heat for a long time to get a 30second view if lucky
-
But, Having aid that.....in Halifax we did it as we stayed at the same hotel as he did and I got a nice high five from Paul as he drove by. Even have a video of it somewhere. He high fived a whole line of people as he drove by

Very awesome, Bob! I kind of agree about the limo watch thing.. It all happens too quickly. Ya wait all that time just for a few seconds. The first few times I did it, it was really cool to be that close to him. But lately, I've just become frustrated with the experience. And it never fails.. There's always some nut thinking he's going to get an autograph or see Paul walk out of his vehicle, causing security to go on high awareness!

Bruce played here the other night. Which prompted the news stations to talk more about "the big concert" coming to town this summer. Yes, Bruce is big, of course.. but all roads always lead back to Paul when "big names" are talked about! So anyone have the countdown number?! I have it marked on my calendar at home.. but haven't done it on my work calendar yet lol.

So I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I kind of hope he opens with Magical Mystery Tour! I haven't seen him perform it live, so it is going to be new to me. I also hope for I Saw Her Standing There over Get Back. While I won't be disappointed with either one, I saw him do Get Back twice now and would love to to see him perform ISHST! I am SO excited for this concert, I really think I am more excited for this one then I was even for the first two, which is crazy! I also can't believe I am seeing Ringo twice within a five day period and then Paul only eight days after that. In 2010 I saw Ringo and Paul about a month apart from each other which I though was was so cool, but this is going to be the best summer I've ever had for sure!

I'd prefer Eight Days a Week, but that's really just because I've heard Magical Mystery Tour twice now. I'd absolutely love to have Things We Said Today over I've Just Seen a Face since I've never heard it live, and have had the latter three times. I'd also take Get Back over I Saw Her Standing There....just prefer it live in that slot!

Magical Mystery Tour is good.. But personally, I'm a bit tired of it as the opener. Saw him open with that 3 times now.. Saw 8 Days just twice.. Not tired of it yet. To me, it's still fresh. I also prefer Get Back,.. I love that song! I Saw Her Standing There is a fun concert song...Just a bit too short, and I like to stretch every minute of a Macca concert Now THIS is a wild card.. But I'd like to see something like She Loves You.. My odds of hitting the lottery are higher than seeing a big surprise in the set list like that one, though.. Just some wishing and hoping on my part... Just like how I've been holding out for Silly Love Songs for years now. Pretty much given up on it though! Regardless, I'm just thrilled he's coming back to the burgh!

I'm really looking forward to soundcheck after I read he did do Silly Love Songs at at least one of the South American dates! I yelled out for him do do it at the last Brooklyn show soundcheck and he replied he couldn't remember it. loll

Well I am definitely bringing a sign to the show and on one side it is going to say, "...I Hear It's Ringo's Birthday!" I am REALLY hoping he adds that song in as an extra for us! (And Ringo of course!)
-
Hope he takes your request for Ringo! I saw Paul a day before John's Birthday back in 2005 in DC. Someone made a sign about it, and Paul requested everyone sing Happy Birthday to John.. what a special and tender moment! Would love to sing for Ring this time

Well it looks like we made the cut (for now) in not being rescheduled. I think most important is that Paul is well rested and ok. I hope he makes it to the Burgh on 7/7

I'm more than a little apprehensive now. First and foremost, for Paul's health but also because we're so close to the cut off....I won't mind if the show is rescheduled, but it'll certainly make things interesting. My October is a helluva lot busier than my July.

THen the good news is that there isn't a lot of room for him to reschedule anymore shows in October and it would probably spill into Nov.

While I was hoping the tour would resume this Saturday, I can't say this is necessarily a bad thing. It may have been decided a short while ago.. But nothing was said until the rescheduled dates could be confirmed with the venues. I think it's a wise move to give him more rest time plus time to ease into the schedule again.. Playing with the band, etc.. Gotta say, I never thought Pittsburgh would be the 2nd show into the US tour! We cut it close for sure! I'm confident the show will go on.
-
I think I'll stay away from the Albany thread when the time comes now....maybe I'll actually be surprised in Pittsburgh!
-
I wonder why they were rescheduled to October and not September?

Interesting idea! I think I could do it if he hadn't been off for illness for a while.. I will be too tempted to see how he does! Although I expect typical Macca fashion.. He'll be at his finest I'm sure. He's a perfectionist and wouldn't be coming back without giving 100%! Just hope he learns to slow down a little bit after this!

I would guess first and foremost, because of Beatrice's school schedule. He likes to be home when she's in session, as much as possible. But secondly, I would imagine after getting over an illness and hopefully being on the road for most of July and August, he'll want a month off.

I got an email saying my tickets were dispatched today!!! So exciting!!!
