Wow. Macca's gonna look good for the Grammy's...

Just saw an ad for the Grammy's (Sunday Morning CBS) where they announce the artists performing in the 1st hour tonight. Neither Paul or Ringo was listed. Looks like they won't perform at least till the 2nd hour.
-
I think we need to see that haircut for ourselves...at least I do. I think it's just styled. And colored. Maybe that's why he was a no show for the award presentation. http://variety.com/2014/tv/news/tears-and-tributes-at-grammy-lifetime-achievement-kudos-1201070918/

They ARE promoting all kinds of reunions or "pairings"...so who knows?
-
As always, I'm more nervous about this than I probably would be if I was performing! Fingers crossed...
-
I'm sure whatever Paul and Ringo decide to do (or not d0), it will be exciting! However, I think they have something real nice planned for tonight.

This will be the only year I've cared about the Grammys and will make an effort to watch. Looking forward to it. I hope Paul and Ringo are feeling good about it. That said, it seems ridiculous to even give the Beatles a lifetime achievement. Paul's received one, but not the Beatles? The Grammys have never been pro Beatles and it seems like an opportunity to capitalize on the 50 year anniversary of Ed Sullivan. Which is working, because people like me are actually going to tune in. Other past recipients: David Bowie, Allman Brothers. Beach Boys, Cream, the Doors, Janis Joplin, Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix, the Who, Ramones. Not sure how you can justify lifetime achievements for these bands without having the Beatles in there. I assume the liklehood of them all showing up to accept the award was so low that it wasn't considered.

There is indication of Paul doing "Queenie Eye" (via Macca Mexico). https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=354660931341169&set=a.153077808166150.34782.153013731505891&type=1&theater

I saw that somewhere too. Why would Ringo join in on Queenie Eye?

"an opportunity to capitalize on the 50 year anniversary" You don't think the entire Beatle family is not gonna capitalize on this? We are all hoping it gives Paul's album "New" a push, George's sister is coming out with a new book & she's showing it off & appearing on TV, not sure what else but yeah...big money is to be made. Why is it ridiculous? It's the 50th anniversary. They are honoring that.

50 anniversary isn't what I'm harping about, it's the lifetime achievement and the timing of it. I love that there is huge hype around the 50 years... just irks me that it is when the Grammys finally honor the Beatles with that award.

What TV is Louise doing, oobu? Did you know she is appearing in St. Charles on Feb. 9 along with Liverpool Legends? I would go if it wasn't quite so far.
