hi Paul!!! I just got back from a holiday in Europe started in London. took the underground to St Johns Wood-walked the zebra walk at abbey road. then visited your house. As we were walking away, the gate opened--I thought i was going to have a coronary!!!! My hands were shaking in anticipation, but lo and behold an older woman walked out, gave us a look then got into her BMW. I have come so close to meeting you so many times-it is the ONE thing i want to do before I die! hopefully next time..... luv ya diane

God bless you, darling, and...I hope I never wrote anything in here, your special place, that you didn't like. I just let it all out what I felt like saying, at the time. Somehow I felt you would understand, if you chanced upon my "e-scribblings." Have a glorious night in Quebec City! Much Luv, Susy p.s. I love you you, you, you

Congratulations Paul on the Quebec concert. Havn't managed to see any of it yet but have read the reviews which are all great. Enjoy the summer now and have a rest we need to keep you healthy so there can be more concerts for us and for you. Be happy with that lovely family of yours. Love you!

I just joined yesterday and I wanted to tell you how your music saves my life. Any time I feel the least bit sad or unhappy I just turn on your music and all my troubles drift away. You're so talented (though you already know this.) Thank you for making beautiful music. Elizabeth P.S I'm sorry to say you're awsome but no where near as cool as Linda may she rest in peace

If wishes were horses then beggars would ride..... Next time I'm home visiting my family ( in Hartlepool) I hope that I can make the trip down the M.6 and finally get to see inside Forthlin Road and then across the golf course to Menlove Avenue. There must be a tremendous amount of 'residual energy' in both of those properties and I can imagine the years rolling back and two teenage boys plonking out rough chords on their guitars between mouthfuls of fried egg sandwiches appearing out of the mists of time..... Oh well, we can all dream. Even better would be to accidentally run into you Paul in some shop or other like John Lewis'.That was one lucky lady out with her little one that day. Just how do we get to meet you..? Can't blame you for being careful though.------ I'd be a bag of nerves if I was a celebrity. Take care. We all love you lots....xxx

Paul, Thanks for all the tears, the smiles, the dances, the emotions you gave me on Sunday night. Thanks for helping to put my lovely city on the world map, newspapers, tv clips, and what not... The Château Frontenac has now given you, the most recent VVIP to have stayed there, its place as the official Québec City post-card image. I'm at loss for words, even 24 hours later... And much more than my personal experience which will linger forever in my memories, I will keep a special place for the images of your generosity, humanity, that were broadcast all over our local media, and all over the planet! For instance: This brave fan, for whom your Lexus stopped on its way from the QC city airport to Château Frontenac, in order for you to autograph his bass. This [20 year old kid[/color">](http://www.radio-canada.ca/Medianet/2008/RDI2/RDIEnDirect200807211030_1.asx&lang=fr&pl=0of1&posMedia=0]<span style=) -- you can see him at around 1:41--, who probably became your Québec city fanbase poster child over the weekend. Remember that fellow who waited 3 hours in front of the Saint-Amour restaurant on Ste-Ursule street in order to get his guitar autographed? The same kid was again on the news yesterday, still prey to an avalanche of indescribable emotions, having sat meters away from frontstage at Sunday's concert. Yeah that kid who's usually working in the kitchens of that restaurant... Hey, this one has the dates 2008/07/19 and 2008/07/20 tattooed on his heart forever. [Pascale Picard[/color">](http://www.cyberpresse.ca/article/20080720/CPSOLEIL/80720130/6730/CPACTUALITES]<span style=) of the eponymous band. This kid, you might remember as a headliner for your concert. Did you feel her emotion, excitement whilst she was singing Smilin' minutes before you took possession of the stage? Did you listen to the lyrics? No, these words were not written specially for the occasion. But the way she rendered the song is as if it had been. This young woman's life has changed in a matter of days. And I'm sure its far from over for her and her band. Not many canadian bands, lesser québécois, and even lesser Québec city natives get to headline for the living legend you are, much less do it before a live crowd of a quarter million people... Would it be inappropriate of me to suggest bringing the band along with you on your next venue? Maybe I was under the influence, of the sirmaccamania type, but I sincerely think they did a more than decent job out there. And thanks to you, I discovered a new artist to enjoy. The way you rose up (like a flower) on top of everything else regarding those political and activist's brought upon controversies. I was deeply ashamed by them, afraid you would think less of my city and my country... Instead,[Sir Paul the Diplomat[/color">](http://www.cyberpresse.ca/article/20080720/CPSOLEIL/80721003/7137/CPSOLEIL05] <span style=) , you gave us dreamers a reason to hope and to verify that your art transcends all. And like your dear departed friend, you took us closer to that point in the space continuum when the world will live as one. The world did live as one Sunday, on the Battlefields Park, chanting Give Peace a Chance. Grand moment of my existence, if not for the second 400 years of Québec city history. You know, it hasn't been 48 hours since your departure, people from all walks, from fans young and old, local artists to politicians, they're still talking about the footprint you left on our land. And I'm sure it won't be over for quite a bit. I do not like comparisons but can't help but think about John's traces left in our Québécois modern history during the bed in at the Queen E hotel way back then... You gave us your own revisited version, we should feel blessed forever. Thank you Sir Paul McCartney. Once more smitten and forever yours

Paul Lyselle has put so eloquently how we all feel. Hope that you read her words and believe them. Please, Administration, let Paul know that he should read Lyselles posting because it is so good it would be a shame if he never sees it.

Hello, As the previous post, I feel I have to express my gratitude for the wonderful gift given by Sir Paul in Québec City on Sunday night. I still cannot believe I actually was there ! The whole city, older like younger, are still talking about it. My 62 years old mother Louise wanted to be there, the same with my 15 years old daughter, Éloïse, and myself; I am 41 years old. We represent three generations of Québécois; I was reliving my childhood, my mother was reliving her adulthood and my daughter had a glimpse of what was then and still is. She had studied piano and clarinet at school and had played many of your songs, Sir Paul. My mother was singing your songs as lullabies for my baby brother. Your music had always accompanied us while travelling, my husband and me, singing along in our car. Your music, your message go beyond languages; this what Art is all about, isn't it ? The fact that you came in our city to celebrate with us is the most wonderful gift. I am sure thousands of Québécois are joining me in thanking you for this magical evening! Merci infiniment, Sir Paul ! Peace, love and music! Evelyne

Sir, Dr. Simply Paul--- you are so MAGICAL! I/we luvs ya very much... how very kind of you to play gigs for free I am so touched that most of your fans in Quebec and Kiev are young and quite restless. My God... hundreds of them waited for you...I am so quite impressed. But I refused to go to your free concert because I couldn't run anymore. Maybe next year God willing you will come to the U.S and do a great gig for us. All My Lovin? NellieOApple 2008 Still
