yeah, it probably is. i'd have to look into it all properly and beg someone to come with me as i am not very london-aware. i'd probably be able to go with my brother or a friend so here's hoping! if he comes to britain this year i'm going to do anything i can to get there haha. does anyone know what time concert dates are announced usually? or is it different every year. i'm pretty new to all this

i really hope he comes to scotland but chances are tiiiiiny, i could do england but london might be a bit far... here's hoping england this year at least
although it seems very american based and probably japan way too with what he retweeted on the japanese twitter account. i haven't had the chance to see him yet but i really hope he heads this way soon!
If you haven't seen him ever and you can get a train from Scotland to London or another British city where he plays, do it. This will not go on forever. He has more concerts behind him than in front of him.
definitely! the only problem is dates with train prices. i live pretty close to edinburgh which has good links to liverpool, manchester and london, so here's hoping. the only problem with london is train prices get pretty expensive in busy times of the year and hotels and stuff. but if he is back in the uk, i will do everything i can to see him. can't put it off, might not get the chance!
I'm in the same situation, I live in Edinburgh and have been hoping for a Scottish date for a while! I'm going to try to save some money over the next few months for an English gig but I'd love him to come up here. He'd get such a fantastic crowd too!

damn straight, fellow scot! us scots have great crowds thats why i like bands coming up. ive only been to one proper gig (i know i know) and it was of a band i didn't really like, but i had fun cos the atmosphere was so good and active. here's hoping though? he hasn't been in a while maybe we might get lucky especially if its a new tour!

The first time I went (in Aug. 1980) I researched it like mad (remember, no internet back then!) and got an Underground map and had no problems at all. I've been 3 more times ('93, '06 and '11) since then, and I'm going again in Aug. of this year! Going with a friend who's never been--can't wait! P.S. Paul tends to announce a couple of dates, wait awhile, then announce a few more, with very little advance notice! In other words, the time between the announcement & sale of tickets, and the actual concert, is not very long.

I can't see Paul coming up here ever again. His last two gigs in Scotland (the SECC in 1990 and Hampden in 2010 both failed to sell out), so can't see him trying again - despite the Hydro now being available and ideal for an indoors McCartney show. The last twice we've seen him we went to Liverpool which is only a couple of hours on the train so it's no big hassle compared to going to London, for example, plus we made a wee holiday out of it.

yeah, i agree. liverpool would be ideal! just a bit worried as he played there recently so might not be back soon, even being all born and bred. i'm not sure how it all works haha, i'm guessing he's in london more often than liverpool and definitely scotland. i'd like to think he'd give us another chance but yeah not getting my hopes up. how fast do tickets sell out btw? im guessing pretty darn fast, also what are general price ranges? i've got a bit of money saved so it's not a huge issue but i really don't know what to expect aha. i hope he comes back to britain this year. im pretty sure he didnt come in 2014, but i like to think he'll be back. just have to wait and see.

You may be right but Hampden was almost sold out and had great reviews so I'm still hoping he'll come back. If not Northern England would be grand!

but that might not be enough...lol i think it'd be better to see him in my home country but yeah i mean its paul freakin' mccartney i'd travel as far as i could (only britain for now tho) to see him!

It would be great to hear Paul doing "Mull Of Kintyre" live in Scotland. Fingers crossed for the UK/EU fans this year!
-
RMartinez:
He has more concerts behind him than in front of him.
I've started to notice, that my chances to see Paul live are decreasing with every moment.

Don't give up hope! I have high expectations he is not yet done performing in Europe. You may have to travel some, but he is worth it!

No, I was talking about visiting London & Liverpool for the 5th time!
See below my post for the times I've seen Paul in concert. (also saw George in 1974 and Ringo in 1997)

Rumors keep gaining momentum here in Brazil: Porto Alegre (where Paul did a concert in 2010) has also been mentioned as a possibility. So right now at least 3 or 4 cities are being considered. Some sources say the tour will be the in the usual April/May period, others that it will be later in the year, which would probably mean (equally as usual) November. I think this time Argentina has a good chance as well, due to political and economic changes that are slowly coming up (like a flower).
-
So maybe if he will perform in South America in April/May, he will return to Europe for smaller arenas in November?

I hope he will do a few shows in Europe and the UK this year. It's been a long time since he performed in places like Spain, Portugal, Germany, Hungary, Scotland, Ireland, etc. He's got fans everywhere, I'm sure he would like to visit as many places as possible.
