I hope no more shows are added. I simply don't have enough money to go to 4 shows in a week lol
Poor boy!
Bongiorno, signorina!

Summerfest announcement wasn't Paul. just the headliners previously announced and the acts on the smaller stages. July 8 headliner still listed as TBA.

Yeah, I saw that. Very anti-climactic. I wonder if the 8th is still a possibility?

If so, wonder if he would play with the Hollywood Vampires who are scheduled to play although not sure what day

Just read that Neil Finn will play Summerfest on July 9! Cool!

Now THAT would be something (really!) to see live!

Vampires are playing on July 5th. They would be on one of the smaller stages and possibly headlining on that stage, so even if Paul was the same night, they would probably be on at the same time.

Ah, didn't know the date that they were playing. Yes, I think that would kill that idea! I have a feeling that The Love show anniversary might fall within that break of 1st through 7th. Only guessing that as the opening and last anniversary was in June. Though there are several spaces in July where he can make that trip easily
-
You sure about the 5th, just checked their website and it says July 14th . Summer fest site has them listed July 14-16. Although he would be free, still doubtful Paul would join

Thanks for this very interesting info, Carlos! I wonder if declaring in public that you are asking for a 20% discount is a good strategy for that promoter? I'm sure that Paul's people would prefer to have everyone think that the fees are not negotiable (and I don't know whether they actually are or not)? Having said that, I'm not sure how the rumoured multi-million dollar guarantee works, considering that some shows don't even gross $2 million, according to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out_There_%28tour%29
You're welcome, Andrew. I think that man realizes his offer will not be accepted. Maybe he went to the media hoping that would generate some support for his cause, either from the government or from private individuals. In recent years several people have leaked info about upcoming concerts all around the world, but that was usually when they knew it would be eventually confirmed. Just recently promoters in Spain and France placed posters & billboards on the streets about concerts before those were announced by Paul's team. They were also very active on social networks, such as Live Nation Spain creating a daily countdown to the announcement. Last year a British newspaper published Paul's full UK/EU tour dates the day before they were announced on his website. And plenty other examples around the globe. I think Paul and his staff don't worry about such things, as it creates a buzz in the media and generates excitement among fans. Do you remember any examples of Paul cancelling a deal solely because the promoter talked to the press about it?
Yeah, there does seem to be a bit of leeway for that kind of thing. I can't remember anyone ever saying that they were in negotiations AND asking for a discount, but you might be right that it might encourage someone else to put up the other 20%.

Makes sense, and Ringo is touring thru end of June, so I am guessing they will wait for him to be done. His last shows are in Southern Cal. but I don't see him running to Vegas in between concerts.

Just looked at Ringo's page. July 2nd is his last show.....that makes things awfully tight then when you add the Fourth of July holiday for that time frame

Was just looking at the Love Show schedule. Although a few possibilities, I saw that the only Thursday during the month that is blacked out is the 14th in July. All Tues and Wednesday's are no show days.

So maybe that is the day? I guess it doesn't have to be on the exact anniversary day?
-
Premiere and anniversary were in June, both Ringo and Paul touring then. It could also be towards the end of the month

I'm worried he's cancelling the european tour because of the terrorist attack
