In her biography written by her friend Danny Fields, he said that the day after she met him on the 15th Linda went to Paul’s home in London, but his friend “Stash” told her he had gone to Liverpool.
Well, that was one good way of getting rid of her. "Stash" probably said the same thing to all the personal callers who Paul didn't want to see.
After the connection they had the evening before (and Paul making a move to talk to her) I doubt he wouldn't have wanted to see her. It's possible since "Stash" wasn't there he didn't know she was someone Paul WOULD have made time to talk to. When he told Paul later I'm sure he got a mock Seinfeld like thrashing... "She was here? Why didn't you tell me! "
Oh, I don't know about that. Paul couldn't have been that keen as he didn't make any effort to see Linda for another year and even then,it was more by chance than design.
He was still with Jane, too, so probably couldn't do anything anyway until things were finally decided between them. He seemed to keep Linda in the back of his mind though.

Stash actually invited her in the house and she could see Paul wasn’t there. Won’t go into more detail here. Read Danny Fields book.
This is about “Stash”

In that case he sure changed his tune about her, aye?
I don't think he did. As I said in the reply to Kestrel, he might not have even been told she had stopped by until later... If Jane Asher was at home, I can't see him opening the door to any woman, lol
Jane was away. That was why Paul was able to invite the whole group, Lulu, Maurice, Linda, etc. back to his house after the Bag O’ Nails and The Speakeasy.

I would bet Stash was there with the group at the Bag O’ Nails since he was a houseguest of Paul’s. If Danny Field’s account (which he got from Linda who was an old friend of his) was corrrect, Paul was in Liverpool on the 16th when Linda stopped by.

Makes sense!
Well, the important thing is that he and Linda eventually did get together. It's obvious they were meant to be!

Put on some lipstick, Linda ! (laughs) I'd have at least slapped on some lippy for him

What photo are you referring to?
-
Here’s one taken by a fan in Sept. 1968 shortly after Linda’s arrival in London.

The recent Junior's Farm photo, but there were many she'd have looked much prettier had she used lipstick

How can you tell she doesn’t have any on? It’s in b&w! (and not close enough to tell like the last pic Leslie posted)
-
Well, I could tell she didn't have any on, in that picture. Bare faced again.

This first photo of Linda with her eyes closed and her hand to her face was used as the label on side 2 of the Wings Wild Life album.
