Remembering Linda

@ladyleslie I couldn’t have said it better!
-
@njr Thanks, Nancy!
Linda with her girls, Nashville, 1974

I think this was taken in London, late 1968 or early 1969.

@ladyleslie what a beautiful soul...Paul was lucky.

@ladyleslie yes, but they're much kinder to Linda...thank God... both ladies deserve credit.
Who’s this “they?” Not the people on here. Nobody bashes her personality. If you mean the comments about her wardrobe, most of the time they are favorable.
-
@njr you wrote on another thread that Paul and Linda's daughter Mary looks a lot like Paul's mother. I can also see her resemblance to Linda's mother.
This is a photo of Linda and her parents and siblings (circa 1958?). Information from this photo says that standing in back row, from left to right, are her brother John Eastman and her sisters Louise and Laura, with Linda seated between her parents Louise (Lindner) Eastman and Lee Eastman. Sadly Linda's mother died in the American Airlines Flight 1 plane crash of March 1, 1962.

@ladyleslie I always thought Mary looked more like Paul than Linda, but when I met Mary several years back, I could see a lot more Linda in her in person.

Yes, Mary is a perfect blend of both her parents, i can see she resembles each of them in many ways. That is so great you got to meet her! Was that at an exhibit of Linda's photographs, or a book signing?
-
@ladyleslie It was an exhibit of Mary's photos that was showing near where I work. I went down there during my lunch and as I was going through looking at the photos, Mary came up to me ( I was the only person in there at the time). I had no idea she was even there!
-
@paulfan11 that's wonderful you got to meet her! You were there at just the right time! That was very kind of her, to greet people herself that see the exhibit.
-
@ladyleslie Read the newspaper article. I never knew this (about Lee Eastman) You have to click on “See 2 more”

@njr yikes, so Linda's father was waiting at the airport for a later flight, after Linda's mother's plane had taken off... if he would have been on the plane with her, Linda would have lost both her parents
-
This was probably taken in 1969.
-
@ladyleslie he's always looking at her with such love and devotion...such a lucky lady
-
@ladyleslie Yes, probably late March or early April.

May 25, 1976 - Linda, Paul and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis backstage after Wings appeared at Madison Square Garden. On a side note, Jackie's sister Lee Radziwill was a big fan of The Rolling Stones and followed their tour in 1975.

Love these T-shirts. Would love to have some like these... wonder if they're copyrighted, or if a person can just go to a T-shirt place and have ones made just like it?
-
Somehow after seeing Born Free, the leading characters reminded me of Paul and Linda! (Except there's no music of course! ) They did go to Africa in the 1970s when Wings did some recording (and their tapes were stolen!!) and no doubt supported the World Wildlife Fund that helped animals there.

Sweet photo of Paul and Linda with their family, late 1973-early 1974
